Toys have been a part of pretty much everyone's childhood and occasional adulthood. Some toys have simply had an everlasting effect that has inspired creative play throughout the years. These toys receive special recognition in the National Toy Hall of Fame.

Today, The Strong announced 2013's nominees for the National Toy Hall of Fame were announced. Plenty of historic toys like bubbles and the game of chess are now competing with retro 80s classics that are now new again like My Little Pony and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In any case, each nominee has been acknowledged for encouraging play and creativity in its own way.

But there are only two slots available for this year's National Toy Hall of Fame. And it is now up to you to vote for your favorite toy finalist.

Which of your favorite toys are already on the National Toy Hall of Fame? What toy would you nominate for it next year? Comment below with your answers.
