The 55th annual Grammy awards aired on CBS on Sunday evening, February 10th. The three hour show included performances by some of country music's hottest celebrities including Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert with Dierks Bentley. Zac Brown Band also appeared as part of an ensemble paying tribute to the late Levon Helm of The Band.
Beyond the amazing performances, many country music artists were decked out in their finest to attend the year's most prestigious music event. Some, such as Hunter Hayes and Eli Young Band, were enjoying the excitement of a first Grammy nomination, while others like Eric Church, Blake Shelton and Dierks Bentley hoped this would be the year to take home the award that eluded them in the past.
The Grammys also brought back some country artists who have been busy reinventing themselves. Carrie Underwood's first album in over three years earned her two nominations and Ronnie Dunn was in the running for his first Grammy as a solo artist.
