2012-13 NCAA Basketball Top 25 following Week 18

From my rankings last week, six of the top ten teams lost in the last week. The only four that did not were Gonzaga, Kansas, Georgetown and Kansas State. Teams like Michigan and Duke had tough losses but also had big wins the last week.After defeating the visiting Michigan State Spartans last night, 58-57, the Wolverines will finish the regular season at Purdue before hosting Indiana. Coming off last night's 58-57 loss to the Michigan Wolverines in Ann Arbor, MSU falls to 22-7, 11-5 in Big Ten play. MUS has Wisconsin and Northwestern left on their schedule, both at home.

This week’s NCAA Top 25 features the Gonzaga Bulldogs holding down the top spot while Louisville comes in at a close second. Locally, Michigan and Michigan battled yesterday with the Wolverines picking up the win, making an impact on both team’s rankings. Joining U of M and MSU from the Big Ten includes Indiana, Oho State and Wisconsin. Finally, Arizona falls from the rankings in favor of Louisiana Tech.
