18th Annual NH Maple Weekend happening March 23 and 24

Each year, from mid-February to mid-April, New Hampshire produces close to 90,000 gallons of liquid gold, otherwise known as maple syrup. Over the weekend of March 23 and 24, 2013 over 110 sugar houses across the state will be open for the 18th Annual NH Maple Weekend.

Sugar houses will have plenty of fresh maple syrup and products for visitors to enjoy. Many of the locations are offering pancake breakfasts with a variety of maple infused treats. Visit the NH Maple Producers website for compete information on participating locations and what they'll be offering over the weekend.

Each sugar house will offer plenty of fun and great learning experiences. Thinking of tapping that maple tree in your backyard and trying your hand at making maple syrup? Check out this list of books that could help you make your first batch and some tasty maple goodness.
