The 16th Annual Bradley Beach 5k was held on Saturday, August 17, 2013. It was a sweet one with nearly 800 runners participating in what was most likely the largest field in the 16 year history of the race.
The weather was near ideal for the runners with temperatures in the mid to upper 70’s at the start. The bright sun did warm things up as the race progressed.
Runners lined up along Ocean Avenue and once the start command was given headed north toward Ocean Grove made a short loop inland and then headed back south on Ocean Avenue and made a final loop back toward the finish on Ocean Avenue where the large gazebo destroyed by Hurricane Sandy once stood.
