Huntington Beach hometown hero Brett Simpson, Julian Wilson and 11-time World Champion Kelly Slater are just a few past winners who you can see at the 2013 Vans US Open of Surfing.

No one can beat the unique style of Huntington Beach local Mike "Hucker" Clark or the skillfulness of Yorba Linda's Pat Casey. No one!
#6 Rad Concerts!
The US Open of Surfing hosted the largest free concert stage of the summer and featured performances by Modest Mouse, The Faint and Twin Shadow – Plus Huntington Beach native, Matt Costa and emerging artist, FMLYBND.

From knowledgeable surf gurus to clueless pre-teens, there's something for everyone at the US Open and most everyone is pretty chill. Hey, it is Huntington after all!
#8 Rad Vendors
The usual suspects were in force – Red Bull, Tilly's, Pacifico. But appearances by Taylor Guitar, Fiat, and Sector 9 (to name a few) made the US Open a unique shopping and information spectacle.
