We were doing so good, we had it all -- New titles were coming down the tube at an unstoppable rate, most failed to meet our expectations, and then they just stopped coming.
Some blamed the developers, some the consumers for their expectations, who cares? The question is - Who is going to pick up the slack, and pieces of this industry, and give us back what we miss? Sweet delicious, up all night hamming Red Bulls addictive game play fun!
Now it might be early but it does appear that Sony Online Entertainment may have our answer, and it’s so far shaping up to be quite a contender to put our aging champion WoW down. Even reinstall our faith in the MMORPG Genre, and the future of the industry’s innovation.
I’d like to hit on some points here of what has been revealed so far about this game, what it will mean for players, and styles alike -- I’m also going to hit up on some speculation based on the other EQ games, and SOE’s pragmatism regarding how they handle their titles.
