  • Starring: Kate Winslet, Leonardo DiCaprioWhile the main idea was behind the 1912 sinking of the Titanic, it centers around one of the greatest love stories told in cinematic history: Jack and Rose. He was a boy who lived everywhere and she had the world at her feet. They risked everything to be with one another and the ending makes for a good cry. 
  • Starring: Keanu Reeves, Sandra BullockA lonely doctor and a frustrated architect exchange love letters via the mailbox as they try to figure out the mystery behind their romance before time runs out. It was a different kind of love story because there wasn't many scenes where the actors were in the same scene. Their love grew through a series of love letters and that's why this movie is perfect for those couples who have a long distance relationship.
  • Starring: Channing Tatum, Rachel McAdamsThis story was based on a true story and it's heart-breaking. It's about a woman who forgets about the love of her life after a car accident. Her husband decides to try and make her fall in love with him all over again. It was very sweet and touching how this man would go through the heart ache of losing his wife in probably the worst way. While the story has a bittersweet ending, it's still a very touching movie and a very good movie to watch this Valentine's Day.
  • Starring: Nia Vardalos, John CorbettA woman who never has had a long relationship, finds herself wanting more when she meets a new restauranteur. These two had teamed up for the surprisingly succesful My Big Fat Greek Wedding and this movie uses their chemistry to the max. It's about giving up on your own rules if you have a chance at that everlasting love. 
  • Starring: Ashton Kutcher, Jennifer Garner, Jamie Foxx, Jessica Biel, Anne Hathaway, Julia RobertsThis movie began the trend of ensemble films (followed by New Year's Eve and Movie 43). It's about love in it's many forms and stages. It has a whole mess of stars that attract many generations and it's very touching because their really isn't a sad ending in this one. Everyone finds their love and everyone ends up happy, which of course is what we want to happen at the end of Valentine's Day.
  • Starring: Ryan Gosling, Rachel McAdams, James Garner, Gena RowlandsA favorite amongst most of the female audience. This movie exploded onto the screen and now whenever someone mentions a romantic movie or a 'chick flick' this one is mentioned. It's a great love story of a man who fell in love with a woman who was above him on the social ladder. He gave her up thinking she deserved better, but they both couldn't seem to get over one another. They find each other years later and realize that this is it. This is the great love. A tear-jerker with a very satisfying ending (personally I liked it better then the book) and a sure-fire winner to watch on Valentine's Day.
