Treat your feet to reflexology

Want to treat your feet to a relaxing and stimulating experience?  Consider the ancient healing art of reflexology to help you relieve stress and tension throughout your whole body.

What is reflexology?
Reflexology focuses on the principle that there are reflex points on the hands and feet that correspond to specific organs and parts of the body.  The stimulation of the reflex areas helps to relax and heal the body mentally, physically and emotionally.  Research of all the healing benefits of reflexology is still unknown.

How does it work?  With reflexology, the body is divided into 10 energy zones that run from the head to the toes.  Within these zones, all the organs and muscles of the body are represented.  These zones help to locate the different reflexes or spots on the feet.  When there is a blockage of energy flow to these zones, such as discomfort, this may indicate that there is stress present in the body.  You can learn more about reflexology  by reading Pauline Wills book, "The Reflexology Manual: An Easy-to-Use Illustration Guide to Healing Zones of the Hands and Feet." It is a good resource book for reflexology.

What are the benefits?  The primary goal of reflexology is to bring relaxation to the whole body.  It improves circulation, reduces stress and revitalizes energy.  No matter what your reasons are for receiving reflexology, the benefits will relax the mind, body and spirit.

Who should receive a reflexology session?  Anyone who would like to feel relaxation.  Some people will do it for specific health concerns such as PMS, carpel tunnel syndrome, sinusitis, headache or back pain.  Others may want to relieve high level stress and tension in the body, or use it as a preventive approach as part of their health care regimen.  Most of all, some may want to just enjoy the relaxing effect of foot reflexology.

To schedule your reflexology session locally visit Jolie, The Day Spa & Hair Design located at 7200 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, Maryland  20814

Tip:  Drink lots of water before and after a reflexology session to help release the toxins out of the body.

    Oh! I so love reflexology...
Nothing better after a hard day's work to relax and completely unwind..
And it can also tell you where energy blockages are in your body - if you study a good reflexology foot chart (check omfeet.com ), it will link your foot to the whole of your body.
Share the chart with your husband/wife/friends and you can treat each other!!
