NY cops still manhandling peaceful activist

News from the liberterrain...

Julian Heicklen, the unrelenting dispenser of Fully Informed Jury Association (FIJA) information returned to the US District Courthouse in Manhattan where he was once again arrested, unceremoniously stripped of his pamphlets along with his personal dignity and human rights, and rolled out of public view in a wheelchair.

A Manhattan Libertarian Party official known as "Bile," acting as a witness for Heicklen, posted a blow-by-blow account of the FIJA activist's abduction on his "Blog of Bile" website.

Heicklen, according to Bile, was handing out fliers to passers-by beginning at 11:45 am. By noon, "Federal Protection Services [FPS] officer Clifford Barnes #245" was standing within a few feet.

Minutes later another officer arrived. Then, suddenly, Heicklen lowered himself to the pavement, his standard reaction to being arrested.

Barnes then followed his standard arrest pattern, going through Heicklen's pockets and bag of flyers and handcuffing him.

But this time, instead of leaving him prone and calling for an ambulance, Barnes physically lifted and dragged Heicklen to the steps where "two officers in uniform and three in suits surround Julian." They placed Heicklen in a wheelchair and rolled him inside the building.

Heicklen, as usual, remained unresponsive to the manhandling.

Bile, with his own lawsuit for illegal arrest still pending, chose not to photograph or video the incident.

At this writing Bile reports: "According to Dan Patrick on facebook the FPS told him that julian was handed over to the NYPD.

However, the Libertarian News Examiner cannot confirm Julian Heicklen's location or condition.

Julian Heicklen needs volunteers to witness, photograph and video his outreach efforts. He encourages you to join his "Tyranny Fighters" by emailing him at jph13-at-psu-dot-edu, but be advised that the government may be intercepting his emails.

Another bunch of so called police officers acting like thugs with no respect for the Constitution or the Bill of Rights. I hope that his lawsuit succeeds and any damages should come out of the pockets of the police who were involved in this matter with the greatest amount coming out of the thug Barnes' pocket.

I also pass out FIJA materials. Some cities have ordinances about handing out material on the court house property. An easy solution is to stand across the street, or near the parking lot. It is absurd you have to do that or be arrested. So far I haven't been arrested. Guess they don't want people finding out about jury nullification, it would put a wrench in their plans.
