Jury rights advocate kidnapped again

News from the liberterrain...

"Get the camera rolling, things are about to start" a uniformed enforcer of the political classes said to Darren Wolfe.

Julian Heicklen had arrived at the federal courthouse in Manhattan Wednesday morning as he has done a dozen times to distribute Fully Informed Jury Association information to anyone willing to learn about their long government suppressed jury rights.

Adam Mueller and Pete Eyre from Liberty on Tour, Darren Wolfe of The International Libertarian, and Antonio "Blog of Bile" Musumeci all had their cameras rolling.

"Bile," in fact, was arrested last year for filming Heicklen in action and has a lawsuit ongoing. But now it's as though the federal badge-bearers have become so arrogant they actually like playing to the lens.

At first "things started out peacefully with the feds studiously ignoring us," Wolfe reported on his blog, and Heicklen was able to distribute 35 flyers unmolested. "I even started to speculate that maybe they were done trying to arrest Julian. No such luck."

price of justice is eternal publicity" – Julian Heicklen. (Screenshot

The arrest followed script; Heicklen was pronounced under arrest, Heicklen dropped to the pavement, Heicklen was hustled off to a psych ward in an ambulance.

"In a telephone conversation later," Wolfe reported, "Julian stated that he was released from the hospital unharmed" although he was poked, pummeled, and prodded as usual in an attempt to force him to talk against his Fifth Amendment right not to talk.

He was released after signing the paperwork as "John Galt."

"He also said that technically he wasn't arrested," Wolfe added, "just shipped off in the ambulance."

Which, as libertarians everywhere understand, since Heicklen neither initiated force nor the threat of force nor fraud against anyone, this whole incident technically qualifies as a kidnapping.

Love the opening line "'Get the camera rolling, things are about to start' a uniformed enforcer of the political classes said to Darren Wolfe." Spot-on.

Adam is just about done editing a more-polished vid that shows what went down. It'll soon be posted to Liberty On Tour's YouTube and website.

Keep up the good work Garry.

Did he refuse treatment and transport by FDNY or the receiving facility? Didn't think so. Julian was not kidnapped, he was treated for a medical disorder that he faked.

The individuals who called and who were called know Julian is just being unresponsive. He's done it 10ish times. They attempted to arrest him and he refused to help them. They could have left him be and he would have stood up and walked away.

If he had stood up and walked away, nothing would have happened. Instead he faked a medical condition and was hospitalized. When he decided to stop faking and asked to leave, he was allowed to leave. Directing your animosity towards the healthcare workers who were called to the scene is senseless and the hysterical language used in calling it a "kidnapping" destroys your credibility. Julian, through his actions, consented to his treatment.

Marc is missing the point. The cops have no legitimate business preventing Julian or the photogs from being there in the first place since nobody is committing any crimes. The cops start all of the reported events rolling by using coercion against a peaceful individual on public property. If the police respected Julian’s right to be there and simply observed him none of the following events would have occurred and no arguments over “kidnapping” or “treatment” would have come up.

Marc is just being a jack hole. He doesn't get it because he doesn't want to get it. He licks the boots that will someday be stomping his face.

No Kent, they won't be stomping on my face, because unlike Julian's corpse act, i don't pose a tripping hazard.

Kent, notice how Marc evaded your point with a clever retort? I've seen him do this same tap dance on another site. You are right that he's an authoritarian. He apparently can't stand the fact that Julian failed to obey the authorities. But to give him all the benefit of the doubt that I can, he might be a conservative libertarian-wannabe who just can't bring himself to relinquish that desperate grasp he has on coercion. I came from a hardcore conservative Republican almost John Birch Society background and even after I committed to libertarianism it was still difficult to let go of those old hateful conservative authoritarian ways of thinking. Let's hope that Marc eventually confronts A is A, meaning coercion is coercion, and ultimately rejects it. Without any more evasions.

Actually Gary, it's called "trolling". I'm not evading Kent's point, i'm just being needlessly inflammatory to anger him as he clearly takes the internet too seriously.
