According to the Free Keene website, Controversy over the assault on a police officer in Manchester, New Hampshire, and the subsequent arrest and jailing of his assailant is still raging, not only at the Free Keene website but, at this writing, on a YouTube site as well.

When friends of Michael Tiner appeared at the correctional facility on
January 29 where he was being held incommunicado to check on his
wellbeing they were threatened with arrest for trespassing on public
property. (screenshot from YouTube video)
Libertarians and other concerned residents of the New Hampshire town have formed a medical aid campaign called Citizens Resisting the Assault of Police Officers (CRAP) in support of the policeman who was the victim of the assault.
On January 16, a known "freedom activist" identified as Michael Big Mike Tiner stood up from a park bench and walked past a police officer. At that moment, according to conflicting eyewitness reports, Tiner either accidentally bumped the officer's arm, lightly "brushed past" him, or engaged in a " horrific assault."
Tiner was immediately taken into custody by two officers and handcuffed.
There is no doubt about the assault. It was caught on videotape. The raw footage of the assault is posted at Anarchy in your Head.

But do they make one for injured
egos? (Wikimedia Commons)
The purpose of the grassroots organization, CRAP, is to encourage all law-abiding citizens to write letters to the Manchester Police expressing their concern for the injured officer, and to include medical assistance in the form of a child's cartoon Band-Aid®.
A highly reliable source (a cartoon at Anarchy in your Head) accuses "Free-Staters" of making fun of the poor assaulted and still unidentified officer by sending him "little girl's panties" in spite of the fact that his "fragile ego" was "sincerely injured."
As of this date, it appears that Big Mike Tiner is still being held at the Hillsborough County Department of Corrections.
A recent follow-up dated 3 February 2010 titled "Are you willing to get arrested?" along with a protest video, can be found at the FR33 Agents website.

Holy CRAP (pun intended)! I hope Michael Tiner is at least get out on bail.
Contempt of cop is one of the unforgivable sins, don't you know?
But in New Hampshire? Tell me it isn't so. :(
