News from the liberterrain...
"I don't have the exact wording, but the LP passed a resolution calling for the immediate release of Julian and George. The convention body roared in support. The vote was nearly unanimous with 500+ delegates." – Jim Babb, returning from the Libertarian Party National Convention in St. Louis on Monday.

Background on Donnelly injustice:
While Julian Heicklen sits in a jail cell on Riker's Island, the latest victim of overzealous "law" enforcement that rejects rather than protects individual rights, a "March, Rally and Demonstration" is quietly gathering force over the fate of a similar casualty of oppression, George Donnelly.
Heicklen was arrested for distributing Fully Informed Jury Association (FIJA) pamphlets on public property on May 25 in Manhattan, and Donnelly was seized and had his camera confiscated for merely attempting to video Heicklen doing the same thing on May 11 in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
"For daring to hold onto his camera," friend and fellow libertarian Jim Babb reports, "George was tackled and imprisoned. Shockingly, George was charged with 'Assaulting a Federal Marshal'. He remains under house arrest."
The "March, Rally and Demonstration" in support of George Donnelly was already in the works before Julian Heicklen's arrest and incarceration two weeks later.
Billed as "Bring back the love to Allentown," full details, a map, and a sign-up roster are posted at the Facebook group "March, Rally and Demonstration: Photography and Pamphleting Are NOT Crimes."
The schedule for the June 4 action, in brief:.jpg)
10:00 am: Gather at the plaza at 7th and Hamilton Streets for a sign wave and pamphlet distribution.
10:45 am: March through Allentown with signs, banners and pamphlets.
11:15 am: Arrive at the Federal Court House at 504 West Hamilton Street with a peaceful demonstration, distribute pamphlets, and take photos and videos.
1:30 pm: Retire to the Allentown Brew Works at 812 West Hamilton Street for food, beverage and discussion.
Babb, organizer of the event, stresses that "We will not be breaking any laws," that it will be a "100% peaceful demonstration, and that "The goal is to educate the public and express our outrage, not to give them more prisoners."
"We are non-violent," Babb insists, "but we will crush them in the war of ideas."
