Liberty drinks
The libertarian drinking social goes for round two tomorrow night. Are you awash and lost in a political sea of Mao-praising Leftists and RINO conservatives? Do you feel abandoned by friends who think McCain is actually their friend? Do you suffer from the stench of smug secretions released daily by the man who calls himself president? Do you feel lonely at nights and wonder why Ron Paul was dismissed by mainstream Republicans? Are you plagued by feelings of helplessness? Do you feel like hitting up the bottle because freedom is lost and all is in vain?
Cheer up! Don’t drink alone because you’re not alone! Wash your worries away with beer, scotch—whatever your poison is—and some healthful camaraderie among lovers of liberty! Liberty on the Rocks!—a grassroots social of activists dedicated to freedom and limited government—meets tomorrow night, Oct. 21st, at 6:00 pm in Tempe. Come to Monti’s and enjoy a night of libations and good conversation on how we can effect real change in America, Arizona and Phoenix! Even if you don’t care for the sauce, you can come meet friends who feel your political pain. Don’t suffer from any more sleepless or lonely nights afflicted by thoughts of Brewer’s tax increase or of BHO’s MMM—MMM—lies . Come out tomorrow night to celebrate freedom and have some fun!
The address: Monti’s La Casa Vieja
100 South Mill Ave.
Tempe, 85281

You have to Protest this! Libertarians meeting other Libertarians and nine months later having little libertarians! We have stop this! A society can only absorb so many Libertarians before they become a pest. Oh, yeah, everybody thinks they are so cute when they are little, but feed them after midnight at your own peril!!!!
And who said Leftists hate the First Amendment?
One look at Mr. Walrus' note, and one would never imagine that socialists fail to comprehend the First Amendment's indirect protection of free association. Nope. Never.Thats like saying Democrats despise free speech because they fear debating their false beliefs in the marketplace of ideas.(BHOs War on Fox is just a coincidental fact of life, like his pal-ing around with commie terrorist Bill Ayers).NoDemocrats do not hate free association. The campus speech code and hate crimes police absolutely, positively do not hate freedom of speech or thought. No way. They just want to shut everyone else up. Thats all.
Although, hyperbole aside, and to Walrus credit, he made a good point. If libs are pests who persistently bug the Orwellian thugs & dreamers of a Utopian hell in America, so be it.Happy to be one.Gadflies have a long, noble history of biting the dumbest of society's beasts right in the ass. An insult from you, Sir, is an honor.
I can't tell you how much I wish I were able to attend such an event. I've tried to get similar things started around here, but no one else ever showed up and I ended up sitting by myself and writing notes about future article ideas.

the horse produces work....the gadfly makes a lot of noise and sucks at the lifeblood of it's host...nothing noble about a gadfly.

I started thinking about going, but then I started to think...it's going to be full of Libertarians...they're probably going to complain about the price of drinks all night long...asking if the drinks include tax and where is all that tax going...they'll all sit around drinking tea instead protesting that they don't want to pay for the next round of drinks if that hispanic guy in the corner is having one because he doesn't look legal...and the next day, they'll tell all their friends that 2 million showed up.

Walrus seems confused. Here let me help.
The gadfly in that case would be a liberal/progressive Dem. standing around with their hand out waiting for a "freebie" that was stolen from the middle and upper classes.

adam seems confused, here let me help,
i'd gladly attend that event if only i had a clue as to a) what it was all about, b) if i could get my gun cleaned by a college girl there, and c) if i felt i actually had something of some use to provide to the meeting beseides my collection of dale earnhardt plates and clay-fired spitoons.
the funny thing is that the libertarian party is now becoming just a group home for stray-wondering republicans. changing your names won't help your ill-gotten reputations as imbiciles.
I wonder what has made Walrus so bitter, dishonest, and unhappy. He says "I started thinking about going, but then I started to think...it's going to be full of Libertarians...they're probably going to complain about the price of drinks all night long" Libertarians are human and like low prices as much as the next guy, but I doubt they complain about prices as much as statists do. We understand that prices are an effect of market pressures. I don't complain about prices very often. If I don't think something is worth the price, I don't buy it. Simple. Then he adds "asking if the drinks include tax and where is all that tax going" We are not idiots, we already know the answer to that question. It isn't worth wasting a fun evening dwelling on. To be continued...
Continued from below-
So, then he opines: "they'll all sit around drinking tea instead protesting that they don't want to pay for the next round of drinks if that hispanic guy in the corner is having one because he doesn't look legal" Libertarians are not the ones who question a person's "legality". Governments don't own people. I'd gladly drink with the hispanic guy in the corner. Would walrus? Then Walrus' projection continues: "the next day, they'll tell all their friends that 2 million showed up." Didn't I just mention that when I tried to organize similar events no one showed up? It isn't the *libertarians* who have a problem with honesty and honor. It is statists- like Walrus.
re:Kent McManigal - Albuquerque Libertarian Examiner
damn, jokes are no fun if they go over your head...I have to find a more "hip" venue....but then again, if Libertarians had any "hip" to them, they wouldn't have carried around teabags at the protests.
oooooooooh!!!!! hahahaha, sorry kent, walrus got u there. xD
Both of you spend a significant amount of time commenting on Dan Heller's articles. In fact, I find it odd that you must literally dedicate hours following him and making silly comments. . .
To Ray and Walrus: says:

nope only minutes....(and flies off into the sunset like superman with another villan vanquished making America safe for Mom, Apple Pie and Chevolets)
i can't stop commenting on heller's idiot commentaries, they're too stupid to go unrebuttled. that's my excuse. i just can't sit idlely by when i see something so baseless goes on being passed on as truth, it gets my goat. my apologies for you not wanting to see people oppose his or your views, but someone has to. thank goodness walrus does! im just his understudy back at the bat-cave! and i spent :45 seconds on this, tyvm
