Despite a spirited and often heated debate, Cap and Trade just barely passed in the House of Representatives by a vote of 219-211. Senate GOP leaders are already calling the bill dead in the upper chamber.
Within a minute of the final vote tally, people were already asking me who the Republican sell-outs on the bill were. Here's the list:

- Michael Castle (DE)
- Mark Kirk (IL)
- Leonard Lance (NJ)
- Frank LoBiondo (NJ)
- John McHugh (NY)
- Dave Reichert (WA)
- Chris Smith (NJ)
For some reason still unknown to me, Congressman Jeff Flake is recorded as not voting. Based on his previous voting record, it is very unlikely that he would have voted for this legislation.
It looks like fiscally conservative Republicans, the Libertarian Party and the Constitution Party now have some more low hanging fruit to gather. Also, if these eight Representatives are beaten up badly enough on the Internet, it will make it tougher for some Republican Senator to go Arlen Specter on the bill.

I want to see the list of Democrat Congresspeople who voted against their constituents wishes ... Let's see those guys that have the agriculture people in their districts and voted against THEM ...

I really hope that those who put these people in office will also show them the door. The one who did not vote should also be given the exit.
I cannot believe that the democratic congress people could actually vote for such an idiotic piece of legislation. What a horrible day for America and its people - when the others see what occurs as a result, they will absolutely "cry" and rue the day their vote was registered in favor of. I am in utter shock at such a travesty.

I am not surprised that Rep. Mark Kirk voted for this bill. His constituents in Il need to review his record. He is worse than a rino, he is on the fringe, not really caring one hoot about his district.
It is time to vote these bums out and send a message that it is time for us to take our country back.

Let me say, that I'm very depressed to think after hearing our Minority Leader telling us today all the obnoxious stuff that was in a last minute added amendment, you would think it would make these Republican congress understand that if they voted for this bill, it was killing all of us Americans dreams. well, SHAME ON YOU!!! You all put us out of our homes, raised price on our electric bills and etc. taxed us to the point that WE retirees living on fixed incomes can't have a life now. you've taken all of that away from us and the rest of us Americans.
If people in your districts don't take a hint to put you out of office the next voting time around, then they need to move out of the country.

I am really tried of all the people who get outraged online,yet do nothing to change what the administration is doing. We all need to unite and require adequite time for our citizens to be able to read and understand what our congressmen are passing on our behalf. The administration is pushing all this legislation through so fast that we(the people) do not even have enough time to voice our opinions to our representatives. It is a scary situation we have found ourselves in and I too am not sure how to stop it from destroying our REPUBLIC as we know it. Please use the internet to contact your representatives and express your anger. Just look up their names by typing in House of Representatives and click on your state. You will be able to find your local reps. phone# and address. If you know your reps. name just google them and sent them a fierce e-mail and let them know you will make sure they will not be representing you next term!!!!! The bill will be in the senate next,email now!
These 8 so-called Republicans are traitors and they should immediately resign and get out of office. They have no place in politics now. This is absolutely inexcusable and unforgivable. It blows me away how our representatives think we are all idiots. They impose more & more taxes on us and our kids. I'm sorry additional goverment revenue. I guess I'm to stupid to notice that referring to it as additional revenue makes it alright, and doesn't mean its a tax. Yea right. How much more do they think we can take. I know my family and I are close to the end....
I am really disappointed Jeff Flake chose not to be in Washington for the vote today. I am in his district and he has now lost my vote. This was an incredibly important issue and he let everyone in his district down!
This is an economy stopper. The Obamanites have stopped all oil exploration, raised taxes on energy that uses carbon, which is about everything, and the Chineese keep on puffing out all the carbon they want. Its all about loss of freedom and control by an out of control Government. All this while the watch dog media is no longer free but in bed with the Government evry but as much as the Chineese press is in bed with the Commie Govt it represents. Our 233 year Experiment in self Government is failing.

How can anyone vote for a bill they have not even read, much less an additional 300 pages floated in tom the bill in the middle of the night.
Pelosi, Barnie Frank, Chris Dodd should immediately be thrown out of the House. None have any of the needed mental qualities to act as a Representative. They are only concerned with how they can line their pockets and their friends. This also includes many many members of bothe the House and the Senate.

Of all the Republican turncoats, the most disappointing to me was Jeff Flake (AZ) whom I read was a no show because his daughter was in a beauty pageant in Alabama the following night! If this is true, then it's incredible as he would have plenty of time to cast his nay vote and still get to this event the next day. The future of the country rode on the integrity of a very few, and Jeff Flake is a huge disappointment to this conservative.
The Republicans that voted in favor of this bill should be run out of the party. They are dumber than the Democrats. Or is "corrupt" the correct word?
What makes me mad is the fact that Jerk Waxman from the Great bankrupt state of California won't even let anyone read the damn bill. Sure as hell makes me wonder what is in it? These Jack-asses will vote for a bill they haven't even read!! You have got to be kidding! What else haven't they read, but passed! These SOB's need to be out on their butts next election day!
These 9 better have a future planed, because they will no longer have the partnership they are used to. If they stay in the US, they will have to bare the taxes as the rest of us.

While I agree with the sentiments and outrage of Republicans over the 8 infidels, why is all the outrage pointed at them? How about the 211 Dems who voted for it? They need to be kicked out too!!
Jeff Flake strongly opposed Cap & Trade, but had family obligations interfere with casting a No vote (which would not have impacted the outcome). See Doc 134743 at his site.
