The FBI, alleging a plot to wiretap Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu's office in downtown New Orleans, arrested four people Monday, including James O'Keefe, a conservative filmmaker whose undercover videos at ACORN field offices severely damaged the advocacy group's credibility.
The alleged wiretapping attempts were at the office of Louisiana Democratic Senator Mary Landrieu. The FBI alleges O'Keefe aided others who were dressed as phone company employees in attempting to place a wiretap, according to reports in the Times-Picayune Newspaper.
O'Keefe, along with the other three, were charged with entering fedral property under false pretenses with the intent of committing a felony.
O'Keefe became a hero of the right wing and a regular on Fox News after he played a pimp attempting to get ACORN officials to help him and a female partner get housing assistance.
Glenn Beck spent weeks highlighting the story and exploiting it for every sound bite he could. I wonder how Mr. Beck will report the arrest of his media darling on federal charges?
