First of all, I hope everyone had a fantastic New Year and stayed warm. To a year/decade of new beginnings, continuation of being awesome, lots of love and adventure However you spent your New Years Eve (in Harlem) or the restful days following (re-watching Law and Order SVU, Zoolander, and re-reading Wuthering Heights and Animal Farm), allow me to extend a virtual toast to all good things ready to come in 2010.
As the first post of the decade, I'll try not to disappoint. Remember all those performing dates from the first post ever? Well, there are now pics available! Check out the source's gallery (l-meester.org) for more! For those of you who attended, show some love!
The numbers that are bound to draw attention are the arrival outfits for Klutch and The Underground. Personally, I love the Christopher Kane scallop dress and adore the YSL heels Meester chose to match it with. The lace number, especially the pants and the pinned up hair, to me is reminiscent of (and, I am wearing my bullet proof vest when I say this) Katherine Hepburn. Ok, so Ms. Hepburn may not have worn a lace bodysuit, but the pants - oh she rocked them.
All in all, it seemed like everyone had a good time and stayed safe. Keep rocking on. Ms. Meester, we'll be watching.
Bonus: J-14 reportedly wrote that a Meester/Miley duet may be featured on Miley Cyrus' album as a bonus track. Confirm/deny? Well, we'll see in due time anyway.
