Valentine's Day is a film of the romance genre featuring an ensemble cast that includes Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Patrick Dempsey, Emma Roberts, Jennifer Gardner, Bradley Cooper, Kathy Bates, Jamie Foxx, Eric Dane, etc etc - the list of stars go on and on.
The soundtrack of the overtly romantic film features several classics, including a cover of My Fair Lady's On the Street Where You Live by Willie Nelson and The Way You Look Tonight by Maroon 5. Other artists on the album include Joss Stone, Jewel, Taylor Swift, Amy Winehouse, Nat King Cole and Diane Birch.
Therefore, this examiner is proud to see that our very own Leighton Meester's first official single, Somebody to Love, featuring Robin Thicke is track number 16 among such grand, musical company. We are glad to see that her music is getting some legitimate attention in the industry. While the film's genre doesn't necessarily grab my attention, the soundtrack looks stellar. According to Amazon, the album is set for release on Feb 9, 2010 and the movie will hit theaters Feb 12, 2010. Pre-orders for the soundtrack are available.
