John Kalymon, 88, formerly known as Iwan Kalymon, has been accused by the Department of Justice (DOJ) of being a former Nazi who shot Jews. The Department of Justice has started removal proceedings against him in the U.S. Immigration Court in Detroit. The government already revoked Kalymon's naturalized U.S. citizenship during prior court proceedings in March of 2007.
In documents filed with the court on August 27, 2009, the DOJ alleges that Kalymon was a member of the Nazi-sponsored Ukrainian Auxiliary Police (UAP) in occupied L'viv, Ukraine, during World War II. The DOJ asserts that Kalymon served as a member of the UAP from at least May 1942 to March 1944; that he personally shot Jews and killed at least one; and that he participated in violent anti-Jewish operations in which Jews were forcibly deported to serve as slave laborers or be murdered in gas chambers at the Belzec extermination center. The evidence against Kalymon includes a handwritten report he prepared on August 14, 1942, in which he accounted to his UAP superiors for the amount of ammunition he expended that day in shooting Jews, including killing one and wounding another. The actions were part of the so-called "Great Operation," which resulted in the removal of 40,000 Jews from the L’viv Ghetto in August 1942.
Kalymon has denied shooting anyone during the war. "I live in this country 60 years and four months. I love this country because it's my country. I'm going to die here. They want to remove me, an old man. I never was arrested, pay my taxes. I don't know anyone as honest as me," he said. His lawyer, Elias Xenos, previously argued that Kalymon merely guarded coal from looters.
Assistant Attorney General Lanny A. Breuer sees it differently. "These charges once again demonstrate the resolve of the Department of Justice to deny safe haven in this country to human rights violators, no matter how long ago they committed their heinous acts. The ultimate removal of John Kalymon will close a very painful chapter and provide a measure of justice to his victims and their families."
"With the active assistance of collaborators like John Kalymon, the Nazis annihilated some 100,000 innocent Jewish men, women and children in L’viv," noted Eli M. Rosenbaum, Director of the Criminal Division’s Office of Special Operations (OSI). "Participants in such crimes have forfeited any right to enjoy the precious privilege of U.S. citizenship or to continue residing in the United States."
It is unclear where Kalymon will be deported, but Poland's Commission for Prosecution of Crimes Against the Polish nation has expressed interest in the case. It is believed he may be sent to Poland to stand trial.

It is totally unethical unjust and immoral to bother anyone who MAY have been a soldier on the other side in a war that was or is supposed to be OVER 64 years ago. In what other war has the winning side gone after possible soldiers from the other side???
Definitely leave this guy alone. If anything, he should be granted political asylum. That war is supposed to be over 64 years ago. Is it not?
Kalymon volunteered to help the Germans kill Jews. There is no statute of limitations on murder. Kalymon earned the trust of the Germans and they put a gun in his hand so that he could kill Jews. If it was your family that was killed you would be outraged.
This is typical of the Jews, always whinning about something. People need to take a stand against this.
Its not over because the Jews won't let it go. We sponsor Israelis in the US all of the time and 99 per cent of them are war criminals under the definition used to go after people like Mr.Kalymon. Why is a Jew in charge of OSI? Isn't that biased?
It makes me mad enough to p_ss blood that America, supposed "enemy to Nazis," deports a minor Ukrainian Jew-hater like John Kalymon while continuing to hold up Henry Ford as some IDEAL. Henry Ford, printer of such Jew-hating trash as "The International Jew" and "the Protocals of Zion"~! Nazi-loving scumbag judges and "Justice Department officials" should also consider revoking Henry Ford's citizenship as an EXAMPLE. Like Hitler, he styled himself a "man of peace." HA! The "peace movement" has ALWAYS been rife with anti-Semites. Henry Ford, a waste of human bumwipe, is no different. And while I am as much in favor of wreaking eternal vengeance against Ukrainians #like Demjanjuk# for dispossessing my people of our rightful home, some perspective is required too. Who was capable of greater crimes: a petty guard like Kalymon or a multi-millionaire like Ford, owner of the Dearborn Independant newspaper?
When you read the comments of Dave, Dan and Dr. Smythe you understand how 100,000 innocent people were killed in the Lviv Ghetto. The man willingly signed up with the Germans and then convinced him through acts of "loyalty" during a time of war that he could be trusted with a loaded gun. He then accounted for the use of his bullets killing Jews. He should immediately be sent back to Poland for prosecution, he is not a citizen.
I would like to shake thia mans hand if he really did shoot Jews. Now he is another victim of Jewish Terrorism. Thank you sir for doing your part to rid the world of the Jewish Plauge.
