The Heart Gallery, a photographic exhibit of Michigan children waiting to be adopted, will be on display at the Michigan Hall of Justice in Lansing through November, in honor of National Adoption Month.
The Michigan Supreme Court has also designated November 24, 2009 as Michigan Adoption Day. The annual event is expected to include courts in 30 Michigan counties this year.
The Judson Center administers the Heart Gallery, which tours the state each year. This year’s exhibit includes both still photos and video from “Where Children Find Hope,” a Detroit Free Press award-winning special report about Detroit’s Christ Child House.
The Heart Gallery is located on the first and sixth floors of the Hall of Justice and may be viewed Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Admission is free.
