Eddie House gives Miami Heat the shooter they need

The Miami Heat have been working hard to put together a strong supporting cast around LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.

They took another step toward that goal Thursday.

Yahoo Sports is reporting that the Heat have agreed to a two-year deal with guard Eddie House. House, who spent last year with Boston and New York, will make $2.8 million over the course of the contract, according to Yahoo.

House is seemingly a perfect fit in Miami. While James and Wade figure to dominate the ball, House is a small guard who plays like a shooting guard. He excels in catch-and-shoot situations, making him a great target when teams collapse in the lane.

House played this role to perfection in 2008 for the Celtics. With teams focused on Ray Allen, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett, House was frequently open. He knocked down 117 triples during Boston's championship season and followed that up with 151 three-pointers in 2008-2009.

The Heat roster is beginning to take shape. James, Wade and Bosh are now joined by a solid group of role players, including House, Mike Miller, Udonis Haslem and Zydrunas Ilgauskas. It is unknown whether Miami has plans to add anymore players to the team.

Miami look like they have the edge over L.A as of now Miami has more perimeter shooters than the Lakers after lakers lost Farmar and did'nt sign Brown yet. I'm looking forward to seeing these two teams in the finals this year.

L.A still has the edge, critics say lakers are old but heat jus signed Eddie house who isn't any younger, we(lakers) still got a deeper bench the two seven footers who are great on defense/offense, still have a compete team overall as of right now, and the best baller on planet earth, Miami still has to get through Boston before they can compare against us and if the lose big by them Ima gonna laugh at brick lol

the heat are not better as of yet,but its looking like they are going to sign tracy mcgrady.if this takes place, and given the fact that tmacs health will be in question, the lakers will be only slighter better, however if tmacs health comes around and improves at the time of the playoffs, the i will give the miami heat the rings, and crowned nba champs next year.

You LA hardly beat only Wade in LA .. Thx to Kobe's last milliseconds triple.. Think about that game when u analyze the team position by position...
How much Heat is better that that Heat team.. and How much LA is better now...
