Scriptures 4 Kids: a wonderful new resource to help your kids learn about the gospel

Scriptures 4 Kids is fantastic new website I came across and launched only two months ago.  This is a scripture-reading system designed to help children better understand the scriptures in a fun and easy way and maintain a regular, daily schedule of scripture reading.

Founded 5 years ago, Scriptures 4 Kids started out when a mother wanted to help her oldest child learn to read.  Angela Roberts, who started Scriptures 4 Kids, is the mother of six children and wanted to create a system children could access and use on their own as well as help them grow spiritually.  She also wanted a clean and safe internet site for children.  Out of that idea and Angela's passion, Scriptures 4 Kids was born.

Currently, the website has 71 stories with associated questions from the Doctrine and Covenants and the Book of Mormon.  Not only that, each story has a coloring page.  As well as the scripture stories, the website has other interactive features including: music, games, videos, activity ideas and family home evening ideas.

Angela is currently working on stories from the Old and New Testaments to be launched by the end of 2010.  As well as preparing new stories, Scriptures 4 Kids is beginning to be translated into several different languages.  These languages include: German, Spanish, Dutch, Finnish, Norwegian and Romanian and are being translated by a group of volunteers.
