Following the tragic mass-murder of Americans at the Fort Hood, Texas military installation at the hands of a suspected radical Jihadist, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano appeared part of to reassure the Arab world that U.S. authorities were taking measures to quell anti-Islam sentiments after last week's attack by an American-born Muslim serving as U.S. Army psychiatrist.

Napolitano said her agency is working with state and local groups to try to deflect any anti-Muslim anger after the Thursday attacks by Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan, a Muslim who reportedly spouted anti-American, pro-terrorist propaganda. Hasan's murder-spree left 13 people dead and 29 wounded.

"This was an individual who does not, obviously, represent the Muslim faith," she said after meeting with a group of women university students.

As a result of her statement, there is in renewed interest in replacing Napolitano as DHS chief. Several police executives complain that she is not equipped to handle such an important national security position.

This is not the first time Secretary Napolitano has made statements that led to outrage. In April, 2009, a non-profit organization devoted to national security demanded the resignation of the Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, or that President Obama fire her.

The Internet-based MoveAmericaForward.org used their web site, email, and social networking sites such as Facebook.com and Twitter.com to push for the removal of Secretary Napolitano following a disturbing report issued by the DHS.

"Napolitano noticeably demonstrates that she is incapable of protecting America from the threat of Islamic terrorism and illegal aliens, therefore she must be fired immediately if our country is going to be safe in the coming years," according to a press statement issued last April by officials at MoveForwardAmerica.org, an organization that supports the US military as well as law enforcement officials.

MoveForwardAmerica.org noted Napolitano's statements and actions are examples of her incompetence to serve as the top person at Homeland Security when she wrongly claimed that the 9/11 terrorists came through Canada to launch the attack, even though not one of the radical Muslims traveled through our northern border.

"How could the head of our security be so ignorant?" asks a Move Forward America press statement.

Meanwhile Congresswoman Mary Fallin (R-OK) said in a statement released to Internet journalists and bloggers that Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano is “out of touch with mainstream America” if she believes that returning war veterans and people who believe in the Second Amendment pose a terrorism threat to the nation.

“Like most Oklahomans I was amazed at her statements and actions,” Fallin said. “First she approved a report that implied members of the armed forces returning from combat would follow in the footsteps of Timothy McVeigh. Then she insulted our friends in Canada by falsely claiming the 9/11 terrorists came from there. Is this really a person that should be speaking on behalf of our nation?”

"Her earlier statement impugning most American conservatives, like myself, as possible terrorists set off another firestorm of criticism of the DHS Secretary," she said.

When Napolitano released a report saying that returning veterans from Iraq or Afghanistan should be watched as they could become domestic conservative terrorists, according to MoveForwardAmerica.org, the FBI went so far as to film the recent tea party protests of loyal Americans because of warnings that conservatives could become terrorist threats.

Napolitano approved release of a report that implied a variety of groups, including veterans, pro life activists, and supporters of gun rights, could be potential anti-government terrorists. She also said that the 9/11 terrorists entered the country from Canada, when in fact they came from overseas.

"With her ignorance about Islamic terrorism, no wonder she is wasting time examining our troops, anti-tax, pro-life, pro-2nd Amendment and other conservative groups," stated Move Forward America.

"It is clear that Napolitano has no clue about the details of what happened to America on September 11, 2001. And she has offended our brave and selfless troops who have protected us since that infamous day of attacks on America’s homeland. Her outlook and priorities are exactly backward and plainly dangerous.

"Napolitano is unfit to serve as secretary of Homeland Security and President Obama must fire her before she causes more damage to our country."

The non-profit organization also points to Napolitano's claim that the Canadian border is a sieve for terrorists entering America, ignoring the fact that she turned a blind eye to illegal aliens coming into Arizona while she was Governor.  When Gov. Napolitano declared a "state of emergency" in Arizona, she deployed 54 National Guardsmen.

"I've seen more National Guard troops deployed for a snowstorm," said political consultant Mike Baker.

"For almost eight years, conservatives took President Bush and members of his administration to task for failing to protect our borders. Conservatives find such activity to be beneath contempt. It's unseemly for the conservatives to duplicate what they found deplorable in their opponents' strategy," added Baker.

How the HELL did this woman qualify for this job?

She has shown she is incompetent when she was Gov.

But half of this administration is incompetent or even worse, against America.

Napolitano rushes forward to protect towel-heads. Disregarding the American Patriots, of course, as they are to be viewed with suspicion - supporting the Constitution, serving the nation, being patriotic and such. Shame on us for allowing cretins like this to run our government. NOT NEXT TIME!

Sir Winston Churchill wrote a wonderful book: The Gathering Storm. We would all be well to read it. Then, take a line from the leftist Audubon Society: Think globally, act locally. We all need to replace as many school board members, precinct reps, and city and county council people as possible if we are to truly beat back this idiocy. Or, do as the little nuts did: vote early and often...

You know, it's quite possible that those terrorists came from Canada. Seeing as how so many "assault" weapons get out of our bordrers, it isn't THAT far fetched that terrorists could get in. Am I right? HELL NO I'm not right! Things are as they are. No matter what kind of laws that get enacted or policies or legislation. The fact that an evil person with evil intent on their mind is going to do just that. Evil. This Napolitano woman needs to have her teeth kicked so far back into her head that she will know what she had to eat 6 months ago. No joke. This type of person has NO right, what-so-ever, holding any kind of office. Mush less any kind of job where she has any kind of say so or influence as to any descisions that are to be made. Matter of fact, she should be made to sit on her fat butt at home with one of those I.D. collars on her ankle, with video cameras pointed at her 24 hours a day just to make sure she doesn't do anything stupid, like try to open her mouth.

When she does, give her just enough of a shock to make her pee herself. F---ing bottom feeding mouth breathers. She's not the only one either. If and when she does get canned, I hope there are people there to throw rotten food at her. Maybe even some fresh dog crap. These people are so out of touch with reality it's not even funny. It really should be considered a phsycological problem. How dare they even think these things? Anyways, she is entirely out of line and should be held fully accountable for her misdeeds.

This idiot was a loser as Gov of Arizona, and now she's even MORE out of her depth. This is THE most inept administration in my memory. They are making Jimmy Carter's admin seem competent. God help us all!

This administration clearly has more empathy for terrorist than for Americans. They just apologize for us. They don't ask for apologies from our enemies. They need to GO and soon. We can't survive another 3 years of these losers.

Responsible for Homeland security? Not America's but of course her Muslim boss hides his extremism well. He calls a white cop, just doing his job, stupid, but says have restraint on a motivated killer. What else can we expect? And he is not even legally president.

couldn't agree more. she's inept, needs to go and needs to haul the crack-smoking goat herder with her, as well as most of Congress...including the one Republican who voted for the POS health care bill, the bill that in fact nullifies our founding papers.
    nice job, Jimmy.

My perspective from BGD IQ outside the green zone is a a little different than most of you. I am a church going UU/Episcopal and have had a wonderful two weeks with my SHIA brothers here. The level of fear and hate mongering coming from the Greeen zone is fierce. The message trumpeted by this woman is/was the correct response from the Government. It may not play well under the white sheets in the bible belt, but the world needs to know that terrorism comes form sick minds of the extremes - Christian, US Army, Iraqi Military, Alquida, etc. We need to be preaching peace and tolerance with SECULAR VOCABULARY.

I love it. This schmuck (if he is in Iraq, let him give his name, rank and serial number so I can verify it) is preaching tolerance while slamming patriots in the South as "under the white sheets in the bible belt." Yeah, that's real tolerance. Also, I find it hard to believe that a soldier in Iraq can't spell al-Qaeda (or Al Qaeda). Alguida? Is that an Italian-Muslim terrorist group?

Does anyone remember in April when Janet Napolitano warned of Iraq/Afghanistan vets being potential targets for recruitment by extremist groups? She had her head handed to her on a platter by Veteren's groups for saying that! Was she wrong then too?
