Beck revealed yesterday that he will be "changing" his show next year. He announced that he would reveal a plan today, for moving forward and enacting change:
Today, he released a letter on his website unveiling what he plans to do next year. His "Plan' will be built for the long term:
- I have begun meeting with some of the best minds in the country that believe in limited government, maximum freedom and the values of our Founders. I am developing a 100 year plan. I know that the bipartisan corruption in Washington that has brought us to this brink and it will not be defeated easily. It will require unconventional thinking and a radical plan to restore our nation to the maximum freedoms we were supposed to have been protecting, using only the battlefield of ideas.
The build-up to the 'Plan' will be interactive:
- Education is key, and not just for our children. To that end, we will be conducting a series of conventions. These will be full-day experiences where you will be immersed in learning about topics ranging from self-reliance, community organizing, the economy and how to be a political force in your own neighborhood and country. The first one will be in Orlando at UCF Arena on March 27th. You will also be able to vote to have a convention in your region by clicking here.
You will have to wait for the entire 'Plan' just a little bit longer:
- All of the above will culminate in The Plan, a book that will provide specific policies, principles and, most importantly, action steps that each of us can take to play a role in this Refounding.
- On August 28, 2010, I ask you, your family and neighbors to join me at the feet of Abraham Lincoln on the National Mall for the unveiling of The Plan and the birthday of a new national movement to restore our great country.
This is an unprecedented move for a talk show host, and promises to be a very big story next year. As long as the Republicans are moving further to the right anyway, this will probably help them. There will certainly be eye-popping deficits and spending, which will give Beck (and Republicans) plenty to talk about next year.
Unfortunately, cable news stations are becoming more involved in promoting events (see: Keith Olbermann and free health clinics), and this will exacerbate that disturbing trend. This is probably good news for ratings at both Fox News and MSNBC, which can both rely more than ever on Beck's craziness to attract viewers.

Plan For The Ultimate Capitalist Utopia: End social security so citizens will be free to work until the day they die. Eliminate public schools. Education is only necessary for those who can afford to pay for it. Most of us only need to know how to pull levers, lift heavy things or sit on street corners. Abolish the minimum wage. Workers should be free to work for food if that's their choice. Make the US #1 in infant mortality and preventable disease by ending all health-care entitlements for all citizens. This will also finally bring down America's absurdly long life-expectancy (don't be so greedy). Make America #1 in prison population and allow businesses the freedom to use prison labor. It gives the inmates something to do. Make every bank a Bank of America, every store a Wal-Mart and every government worker an FBI agent or prison guard. Aside from that, we'll be practically government-free. Like Somalia. We'll have the lowest taxes in the land and liberty will reign supreme.
Oh Hilary, you just don't get it. You really do think all our problems aren't caused by government, don't you?
No Hilary is right... Beck has made his education camps. I'd say re-education, but that just wouldn't be accurate.
INDOCTRINATION!!!!!!!!
Philosophy, such a touchy topic...who's wrong, who's right, who's in between...personal freedom is of the utmost importance here, it's your life to decide how you want to live it, what all you want from it, and all that you choose to have in it. Natural Law comes to mind right now, and maybe Natural Law will be the final solution in the end....and before you criticize Natural Law, read up on it first...lol
