TahoeTravel101: Where can we visit Santa at Lake Tahoe?

Whether you've been naughty or nice in 2010, Santa is looking forward to seeing you at Lake Tahoe this Winter.  Santa Claus has the following scheduled appearances at Lake Tahoe this year:

  1. November 26th from 5p to 8p at the Resort at Squaw Creek.  During the 'Magical Memories' program, view the unveiling of the Gingerbread Village and enjoy the Grand Tree Lighting Ceremony with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
  2. December 2nd from 5p to 8p at The Village at Northstar.  Put on your hat and mittens and join The Village at Northstar for Noel Nights taking place the first three Thursdays of December from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.. 

    The Village at Northstar will be festive with a 35-foot tree and holiday trees throughout The Village decorated by local school children.We'll also have ice skating (bring a can of food for a local Food Bank and skate rentals are free!) until 9:00 p.m., fire pits to warm you, s'mores, carolers, one-horse sleigh rides, cookie and ornament decorating, holiday shopping deals, and much more!

    Bring the little ones because Santa will be here to find out what's on their Christmas lists and he will be available to have pictures taken. 

  3. December 3rd - 6th at the MontBleu Resort Convention Center.  Santa, surrounded by his helpers, will be waiting to visit with children at the Festival of Trees & Lights Dec. 2 through 5. Sponsored by the Barton Foundation, proceeds from the festival benefit the Community Clinic.  Pictures with Santa will be $5 each this year.
  4. December 3rd from 5:30p to 6:30p at Heritage Plaza, Downtown Tahoe City. Tahoe City Tree Lighting:  Join neighbors, friends and local merchants as we welcome Santa in Downtown Tahoe City for the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony and Community Caroling. Santa is set to arrive around 5:45 and he'll turn on the lights throughout town just after 6pm. Hot Chocolate and treats will be provided, donations encouraged.
  5. Head into Tahoe City on Saturday, December 4t from 11a to 3p at Heritage Plaza, Downtown Tahoe City for Tahoe City's Family Winter Wonderland and Photos with Santa in Heritage Plaza. Professional photographers will be on hand to take family photos for $15 (three photos) and prints will be available at Barifot Mountain Photography. Santa arrives at 11am and photos will be until 3pm.
  6. December 11th from 9a to 11a at the Kahle Community Center.  Come join Santa for a delicious pancake breakfast and get your picture taken with him afterward for $2 each
  7. December 9th from 5p to 8p at The Village at Northstar.  Put on your hat and mittens and join The Village at Northstar for Noel Nights taking place the first three Thursdays of December from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m..
