Marking the end of high season at the lake, the Lake Tahoe Labor Day Weekend Fireworks Extravaganza explodes over South Shore Lake Tahoe at approximately 8:30 pm. The patriotic pyrotechnic display will last about 22 minutes.
The show is one of the largest in the West based on sheer volume of fireworks. The Labor Day pyrotechnic spectacular has become a popular annual attraction for thousands of visitors and locals.
The Fireworks Extravaganza starts around 8:30-9 p.m and will be visible in South Lake Tahoe from the paddlewheelers and beaches.

Edgewood Country Club

The Tahoe Queen and M.S. Dixie II
South Lake’s two paddlewheelers provide a stunning view of the fireworks show over the lake. Board the Tahoe Queen for a Dinner Dance Cruise or the M.S. Dixie II for a Fireworks Cruise. Both paddlewheelers offer live entertainment.
The Tahoe Queen will set sail from the Ski Run Marina at 7PM with a ticket price of $125.00 per person. This special cruise will bring guests close to where the fireworks will be set off and will feature a special 4-course dinner menu featuring hand carved filet mignon and grilled Alaskan salmon. The Steve Walker band will play live music.
Labor Day also features the annual race between the M.S. Dixie II and the Tahoe Queen.
Lakeside Beach
Best kid-friendly beach viewing. Take a blanket, warm jackets and a picnic and get there early.
Nevada Beach
About two miles east of Stateline at the lake end of Elk Point Road across from the Round Hill Shopping Center, This extremely popular beach is perfect for a picnic and watching the fireworks. Get there early.
Regan and El Dorado Beaches
Where highway 50 meets the lake there are two prestine beaches with good views of the fireworks.
