The Senate is waiting for the Congressional Budget Office to calculate the Senate draft of the health care bill. It’s being reported that Senate majority leader Harry Reid, (D-Nev) is waiting until then to reveal the Senate version. House majority leader Steny Hoyer, (D-Md) said the house could be in session until Christmas Eve to give President Obama what he wants.
You have to hand it to the democrats, they really stick together. The republicans have not been able to do the same for some time and it’s doubtful they ever will. Especially when Fox is making fun of the only republican that had a solution for and predicted the recession, Congressman Ron Paul (R-Tex). It was very clever of them to take over the tea parties and set up the same old republicans for 2010 but if they want unity in 2012 they’ll have to do better than that.
Reports say Reid may very well get the 60 votes needed to get this bill to the floor after the republicans reject the motion. Cloture may not happen for weeks but even if the republicans manage to add amendments or delete the public option there is said to be language in the bill that would allow states to cooperate and the bill will most likely pass.
Reid is confident the bill will be passed early next year. The present estimated cost of the house version is 1.2 trillion over the next ten years.

You're right! I heard Shawn Hannity call Ron Paul a nut the other day when Chuck Norris said that's who he would go to. Fox is up to something. Have you noticed that every station like CNN is also promoting Sarah Palin for President? Something doesn't smell right here.
Why don't I ever see your articles in the top 5? They're very good and a pleasure to read. You seem to know exactly what's going on.
Do you really think anyone up for re-election would vote for this crap in an election year? Yea fricken right. Your comments about Tea Parties and Town Hall protestors are clearly meant to marginalize the huge demographic that will oust anyone who votes yay on the healthcare bill in 2010. Obama's BS deadline stems from the fact that he can't get this passed in 2010 because it's an election year and he knows he is going to lose a big chunk of congress in November so 2011 and 2012 are also out of the question. By then he would have staked too much on this bill and he will go into his reelection campaign a failure and, from the southerly momentum of his approval rating, likely lose. The narrow margin it passed by in the House is proof that the blue dogs are still on the fence and Reid has just a few weeks to bring them over or this bill is DOA along with Obama's reelection.
Adam- I have noticed that.
Abby- Read some of my other articles lol. I get censored a lot.
Man Overboard- It will pass. Election year doesn't really matter when the other opponent is the same. Learn from history. It wasn't that long ago.
It's interesting that the Republicans have marginalized and dumped on the only person who espouses economic and political freedom, Ron Paul. It's for this reason that I'm proud to call myself a Democrat after the last election. I switched from a lifelong libertarian to the Democratic party when I realized that we have two political choices. Republicans are all about economic freedom to spend money as you choose but have no value for political freedom for us to say and do as we please. Democrats could care less about economic freedom, but want us to have more political freedom and social justice. Frankly, if I wanted to live in a lawless libertarian country with lots of guns, I could move to Somalia or Russia, which is what I encourage the Neo-cons in the US to do. Meanwhile, the rest of us can kick back and relax in our new socially just, well educated America that values human life, community, health, and social justice.
Well I certainly hope the author is wrong about this bill getting out of the Senate. It certainly wont do anything to improve healthcare or reduce it's cost. You know there is something wrong when they wont let you read the bill.
Just to clarify, the cost of the bill minus the savings realized by the bill would be less than the cost of the status quo.
In other words, for those that need this simplified, the bill will actually save money over the next ten years while covering 35 million Americans, many of whom are children.
...covering 35 million presently uninsured Americans, that is.

I don't think you were ever a Libertarian! Your statements are a complete flip flop. WOW is all that I can say along with my post.
Gotta love America! End the Fed. Ron Paul 2012!
