Media back to Ron Paul bashing after CPAC victory

Reuters

Back before the 2008 election Ron Paul won almost every state straw poll but he did not win the CPAC straw poll. That belonged to Mitt Romney. Had Mitt Romney not made a deal with McCain (allegedly) some say he could have easily beaten McCain but he graciously bowed out so McCain could take the Republican nomination (allegedly). As I stated in 2008 Mitt would get the nomination in 2012, that was the deal (allegedly). Are conservatives going to fall for it? Will they be fooled again? If the media has anything to do with it Republicans will fall for it again and Obama will be handed a second term.

If you are a conservative Republican and you feel both sides have betrayed you then wouldn’t it also be possible for both sides to steer you away from a nominee who could actually change things the way you want? Of course it is.

Here is what the media is saying already:

Christian Science Monitor-

Despite Paul's significant victory, boos rang out from the convention hall when the poll results were announced. And many in the blogosphere quickly discounted the results.

RedState blogger Erick Erickson-

We can thank Ron Paul for showing just how worthless straw polls are.

Little Green Footballs-

There’s never been a poll Ron Paul couldn’t win, unless you count a presidential primary race.

Washington Post-

First came the results of CPAC's presidential straw poll, in which the runaway winner was Ron Paul, the antiwar libertarian gadfly who is only nominally a Republican.

New York Times-

When Mr. Paul’s name was announced in the packed ballroom of a Washington hotel, it elicited hoots and boos along with applause. Although Mr. Romney won fewer votes, he seemed to draw stronger applause.

The Fix/ Washington Post-

Texas Rep. Ron Paul won the 2010 CPAC straw poll tonight, a victory that will further energize his already enthusiastic supporters but will have little effect on the coming presidential contest.
Paul, who ran for president in 2008, took 31 percent of the vote. Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney had won the past three CPAC straw polls but placed second this time with 22 percent. Romney is considered the current frontrunner for the 2012 nod.

All of this is familiar to the millions of Ron Paul supporters but those who have not been paying attention didn’t see it. It started in 2007 and lasted all the way up to the primaries. It wasn’t just the left wing media as you witnessed but also the right wing media. Fox News even went as far as to exclude Ron Paul from a debate after this and this even though he was leading two of the invited Republicans in the polls. Hannity said this. Glenn Beck said that. Ron Paul was the not just the main target, he was the only target.

I don’t know about you but if I am at war or playing king of the mountain I am going to work with others to take out the best guy first which is what they did. Ron Paul predicted the crash in 1988. He also tried to warn of the Federal Reserve and fiscal responsibility. No one listened to him until it happened. Then if you recall every show had the Congressman on when it all came crashing down.

Ron Paul supporters would follow this man anywhere. At a taping of the Jay Leno show he was the only man in the history of the show to mingle outside with the crowd. Jay Leno asked him onto the show when Fox excluded him. Supporters chartered a blimp with Ron Paul’s name and planned to fly it over the Super Bowl. If that doesn’t show loyalty and belief in someone I don’t know what will. I can honestly say that this is a man I would trust to watch my children. Why would anyone not want a man like that to be President of the United States of America?

Here’s to you Ron. I hope we get to do it all over again. Tribute

    Thanks!

Ron Paul won CPAC 2010 straw poll.. And look how quickly they(news media) try to dismiss the poll & saying about how Mitt won the past three years, yet wasn't the nominee. Granted, Mitt only won with a 1% point higher than nominee McCain.

Hopefully, RP can keep it up and we see him run & win the nomination in 2012. It is exactly what America needs.

Let them show their hand, Ron Paul will expose what the media is. In the 21st cent, a tyrant will control both parties, and he will select the puppets to play their parts. Through the media he owns, he will control the culture and decision making of the people.

We don't need the manipulative parties, or party for that matter.
We choose Ron Paul, we choose the constitution of the USA.

Romney is TICKED, all the money he pours in and he lost! Get over it Mitt. Nice shot Romney behind Edwards, both men cannot tell the truth.

Do they honestly want us to believe that no other speakers there had fans? Why didn't they vote? Either they had bigger mouths than 31% of the crowd that voted or the boos didn't happen. We know the elections are rigged and we can already see that the media is playing this down, even the conservative media. You want a real peaceful revolution? Elect Ron Paul!

The GOP Establishment does not seem to be getting the message that it's time for real conservatives to take back the party, whether it's Rubio in Florida or Hayworth in Arizona. Or Ron Paul for president.

Naturally, when someone feels threatened, they discount the results, they say it's not important (I didn't hear how unimportant it was last year when Romney won), they boo and hiss and act like children.

They know that support is growing, that people are sick to death of neo-conservatism, that people are bringing the GOP back to its roots. They hate it and are fighting it tooth and nail.

They detest libertarianism because it is the root, although they say they love Ronald Reagan. Quote by Ronald Reagan from 1975 in Reason magazine: "If you analyze it, I believe the very heart and soul of conservatism is libertarianism."

If the media are against him then the American people should be all FOR Dr. Paul! The media are owned by the same puppetmasters as our so-called representatives in Washington. We do not have a free press. We do not have reporters.........we have repeaters.

Romney wears magic underwear. Huckabee is a CFR puppet as was the rest of the Republican lineup. I also remember seeing a video where Sarah Palin was saying she liked Ron Paul. That was, until she was asked to run for vice-president under bad-tempered McVain.
