Larry Flynt's Challenge Cup poker tournament kicks off 2010 with over $250,000 in guarantees and 'monster' chip stacks for the first tournament series of the new year in the Los Angeles area.
The annual Challenge Cup will begin January 2nd and continue through January 18, 2010 at the Hustler Casino. Buy-ins range from $120 to $325. While the tournament schedule lists mostly No Limit Hold’em tournaments, there is an Omaha Hi/Low event set for Friday, January 8th at 7pm and a Pot Limit Omaha event at 7pm on Wednesday, January 13th. Other highlights include the NLH Triple Chance, where each player's can receive up to three stacks of 4K chips and the NLH Tag Team Bounty, where two-player teams compete for the prize pool and $300 bounties for each player they knock out.
Each tournament is a deepstack event with an optional $10 staff bonus for additional chips. Daily Satellites begin on New Year’s Day. Satellites held will be held Weekdays at 3pm and Weekends at 
11am with buy-ins are set at $25, $40, and $50.
While it is not the largest of the Angelino casinos, the Hustler Casino is one of the more luxurious with more than eighty tables of classic gaming action, just 15 minutes south of Downtown Los Angeles.
