Burger Lounge, the San Diego-based restaurant serving organic grass-fed beef, quinoa veggie, and turkey burgers in a retro meets modern setting, is scheduled to open its doors in Hillcrest, on the corner of University and 4th Ave., in late August/early September.
The Hillcrest location is Burger Lounge’s fifth location, joining the company’s La Jolla, Kensington, Coronado and Little Italy locations, retaining the brand’s signature chic, orange décor with a sizeable outdoor dining patio. La Jolla was Burger Lounge's first location.
Dean Loring, co-founder of Burger Lounge, announced, “We’ve been scoping out this location for quite some time and feel the Burger Lounge brand is a great match for one of San Diego's most charming and eclectic neighborhoods.”
Winner of “Best Local Hamburger Joint,” by San Diego Magazine, all of the Burger Lounge locations are open for lunch and dinner, serving a menu featuring TallGrass burgers, organic salads, fresh-cut fries, hand scooped milkshakes, root beer floats, premium beers, and homemade cupcakes.
This Examiner's favorite order at Burger Lounge is the veggie burger with a Half and Half (half french fries and half onion rings) and is a loyal patron of the restaurant. Do try Burger Lounge if you haven't already.
