Sharon Stone: skinny and shameful
You may recall that at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival, Sharon Stone said that the then recent devastating earthquake in China might have been bad karma for the nation’s treatment of Tibet and the Dalai Lama. It was a disgusting remark and Sharon has been trying to back away from those remarks ever since.
Because of this, it’s easy to be skeptical of Sharon’s tribute to Natasha Richardson last night at Amfar’s Cinema Against Aids event at Cannes yesterday. While a tribute to Natasha Richardson is a great thing, it seems as if Sharon Stone was trying to play a PR game to make everybody think she is “good” again. It is easy to sense that Sharon Stone is trying to act again – since she’s failed so miserably in movies lately – while giving the speech. Perhaps the late Natasha Richardson, a lovely woman with a sense of humor, would forgive her.

Sharon Stone - Should NOT be forgiven for 'China Earthquake' comments, because she is an idiot, she is not chinese, she does know better about anything,
No wayyy!! She's an actress man!! So, what really happen was she just acting paid tribute to Natasha Richardson... which make me feel more sick of her on using sweet Natasha as a tool.
it has been bad karma for sharon stone!! good luck.
This China Earthquake question was so stupid, because sharon just said what half world was thinking! And Daryl D your article is very stupid and Sharon is a very smart Lady.
Why don't you guys get over it....you act like Sharon Stone actually started the earthquake. She said it, she's sorry, move on. She does a lot of good things for charities, but I don't hear you saying anything about that!! MOVE ON!
Looks like it is Sharon that is getting bad karma. Shame on her to call herself a Buddhist, when she delighted in the deaths of thousands, when many are ethnic Tibetans died. The earthquake epicenter was located in the Tibetan county of Wenchuan.
I am Chinese, yes my last name is Mao, and I thought the same thing as Ms. Stone did. At no time did I see or read that she "delighted in the deaths of thousands!" Opinions are like belly buttons, everyone's got one. Thank the First Amendement that in the U.S. we have the freedom to speak what we think, unlike in "Big Road" censorship is controlled by the Communist government.
As much progress as Big Road has made, I wonder why so many people had to suffer (think the Red Book and the cultural revolution) so that the same government that Mao created allowed its country to catchup with the rest of the world?
As a Chinese, I never took offense to what Ms. Stone said so there is nothing to forgive. You live and let live. Get over it and move on to more important things.
