K Patrick is a graduate of UCSD La Jolla school of medicine's Emergency Field Medicine program. He was the first EMS supervisor for the city of San Diego. Over the past 30 years, he has responded to and treated more than 12,000 emergency patients. He enjoys researching and writing on health-related current events. He is the author of three books and more than 250 articles, both in print and on the internet.
