As reported by Doug Guthrie of the Detroit News:
It is alleged that a circuit court judge allowed a jury to hear false testimony in a drug dealing trial in 2005. The charge carries a possible five year sentence.
The assistant prosecutor and two police officers were charged with obstruction of justice. They allegedly allowed an informant to lie on the stand and misstated facts. They face life sentences.
It is interesting that it took four years to get from the original misconduct to the point where charges are filed.
Lesson two in fighting Black Collar Crime: Be persistant.
