It happens to the best of us. You decide to go out to lunch, and after studying the menu, you can’t make up your mind. What to do? If you happen to stop at the always charming Soup Spoon Café for lunch, go with the soup and half a sandwich combo.

For $6.99 you can get a half of any sandwich on the menu and a cup of any soup on the soup board. You can upgrade to a bowl of soup or a whole sandwich for an extra $2.

Going with a cup of soup and a half of a sandwich makes for a tasty, light lunch. If you want a sandwich with a bit of a kick to it, try the Southwest Slammer. This sandwich comes with grilled chorizo, bell peppers, onions, pickles, pepperocinni, tomato and cheddar cheese. A spicy bbq sauce covers everything and it all happily resides on a grilled sun-dried tomato bun.

The sandwich is a great mix of spicy, hot flavors—but it isn’t overwhelming. The grilled chorizo is an unique touch, as that is something you don’t find on too many sandwiches around town. The spicy bbq sauce is especially tasty.

Can’t decide which soup to accompany your spicy sandwich with? Try the Pumpkin Bisque. The creamy texture of the Pumpkin Bisque will help put out the fire of the Southwest Slammer.

The sandwich comes with a pickle and your choice of kettle chips or home-made coleslaw—both are great choices, but do make sure to try the homemade coleslaw at some point.
