We hold these Truths to be self-evident...
From time-to-time, mainstream news reports on energy-creation breakthroughs. The video links below will remind you and evoke the follow-up thought, “Why haven’t we heard more about these?”
For example, last year leading electromagnet expert and MIT professor Markus Zahn verified that the magnetic motor of Thane Hines did indeed create acceleration without any input of energy (and here). That is, once started, the magnetic motor speeds up on its own. In fact, the motor needs to be slowed or its acceleration will continue until the speed is so great that it breaks the motor.
Why haven’t we all heard of this except for one update from the Toronto Star?
Let's consider possible answers. We know it isn’t being reported by the same so-called “mainstream media” that lies through commission and omission in many other areas: lies to start wars with Iraq and Afghanistan, lying rhetoric for war with Iran, torture, the public’s transfer of our trillions of dollars to financial elites, a monetary system that causes Americans to be debt-peons forever, to name a few.
Leading organizations following this critically important issue, Want to Know.info and The Orion Project, claim that our governments are controlled by very few people who stand well behind the politicians. These elites have dominant factions who want control over humanity more than energy freedom. This interview with David Icke goes into further detail. While these explanations cannot easily be factually verified, neither can it be refuted. The real question is, like the MIT tested and authenticated magnetic motor, how powerful are these new energy sources? How can we maximize their potential?
The brilliant documentary, Who killed the electric car? created attention to a legitimate breakthrough that was destroyed through combined efforts of the car company itself (despite demand of buyers on a year-long waiting list), the California government, the Federal government, and mainstream media (see this and this for other breakthroughs with automobile engines).

I am among many who see our best path of action a Truth and Reconciliation type process whereby all who know of any activity that should be disclosed to the public may do so without fear of prosecution. This process includes the bad (wars, torture, etc.) and the good (suppressed breakthroughs in energy, health, technology, etc.).

Maybe. And, please search www.wanttoknow.info in their "Energy" tab to see dozens more reported energy breakthroughs. Then ask yourself which is more likely: Big Oil and related energy are honestly allowing competing energy to rise-up for the good of humanity, OR energy breakthroughs are suppressed.
And consider this: in a political and economic enviroment of unlawful war, torture, extrajudicial assassinations, and Robber Baron economics, what is the largest controlling context that answers the above question: good of the people or good of the controlling cartels/oligarchy?

Given this larger context, isn't your pointing without explanation a lie of omission of the article topic?
Yes, jaime, the usual move is to buy inventors off or end their invention, one way or another. The links I provide give history of inventors who demonstrated energy breakthroughs and then were never heard from again in the media and their inventions disappeared.
I saw for myself the linked article mentioning Markus Zahn and here's the evaluation: Zahn did not verify what you claim. Therefore, you're a kook. Q.E.D.

But you know what, Kook, you go on trusting the oil companies. I'm sure they have a plan to take care of you. Is the level of thinking/propaganda you show really what you want for the future, including for your children?

The meaning of that depends on what "it" is and anyone who actually reads the article sees that Zahn regards the contraption as a _possibly_ more efficient electric motor, not any sort of free energy generator. This is my choice: I trust neither the oil companies nor free energy kooks and scammers.
Ok, Kook. You sound like Bill Clinton talking about the meaning of the word "is," but whatever.
What about the larger context of suppressed energy along with documentation and video. You blanket it all as kookery without presentation of evidence.
It is the free energy kooks who are trying to change the meaning of "it" in Zahn's sentence. It is up to the free energy kooks to show evidence for their claims, not anybody else to show evidence against them. Some random kooks' youtube videos are less credible than the Syfy channel and far less entertaining.
For those who find Kook's level of intellectual scrutiny sufficient, and won't look through the links to peruse the EXTENSIVE AND DETAILED documentation, side with Kook. Good luck.
For those who really want to know what is documented for alternative energy breakthroughs, check the links. Brothers on the path can only point the way; you must take the steps for yourself.
Real scientists and engineers are at work developing actual alternative energy sources: e.g. solar, wind, geothermal, wave, biomass, even fusion (not cold). The best these kooks here can create is hot air and nobody is suppressing it in any way.

Apparently, you did not see the documentary Who Killed the Electric Car, and did not look through any of the documentation of suppression, including what really happened with cold fusion.
When the information is laid in front of you and you reject it, you are either consciously choosing ignorance or you are a disinformation agent spending your life suppressing legitimate data.

Electric cars have nothing to do with the free energy kooks, which you might actually wonder about if you had any critical thinking skills: why does every kook who claims to have a working motor that accelerates by itself or a free electricity generator still not power their house or their car with their gadget? Are they so suppressed?
BTW, at the time the electric car was supposedly "killed", the battery technology was too primitive to make it viable. It's barely sufficient for practical cars now but it's being developed further, again by actual scientists and engineers doing honest work, not by boasting charlatans.

Anyone who has watched the documentary "Who killed the electric car" and witness the testimony of the inventor of the ion battery explain that GM chose the less-effective battery. One of the videos shows a home-energy system that we all should have heard of if the media were honestly reporting.
