In the interview below, Southern California Republican Congressperson Dana Rohrabacher is reported by Judge Andrew Napolitano as admitting the “emperor has no clothes” obvious: US war in Iraq is unlawful and almost all House Republicans know it.
What’s required is public demand to end unlawful wars and either initiate full criminal arrests and prosecutions, or a Truth and Reconciliation process to more quickly split the monsters orchestrating these unlawful policies from those willing to stand with the US Constitution and inalienable rights.
Perhaps Congressman Rohrabacher will take a leadership role in this “Scrooge conversion” to return US government under the law.
The following links are my best efforts to document and prove US Orwellian unlawful wars, rigged-casino economics, and destruction of our US Constitution.

Comments policy: Examiner.com allows the writers to moderate comment discussion. My moderation is for a professional level of discourse based on facts. I welcome questions and comments that are civil and pertain to the article topic. Here, readers are welcome to argue for any inaccuracy of factual claim and/or need for inclusion of other facts. Readers are welcome to interpret facts however they wish and welcome to any policy position. They are not welcome to misrepresent facts. Facts are objective, measurable, and independently verifiable.
In addition, almost all laws are intended to be clear in letter and spirit. War laws are exceedingly clear. Therefore, comments that lie about the meaning of war laws will be deleted. For explanation of the conservative meaning of these laws that for 65 years have outlawed wars of choice not in self-defense of another nation’s armed attack and/or authorized by the UN Security Council, read my article, “US war laws explained, why Afghanistan and Iraq wars are unlawful, how to end them.” Any argument that US wars are legal must counter that information or is subject to immediate deletion. Any comment that is rude is subject to immediate deletion. For details, see “Terms of Use” from Examiner.com linked at the very bottom of this page.
That is how freedom looks. Freedom is not an allowance of whatever, whenever, however. We censor behavior of drivers beyond strict limits, censor many behaviors as fouls and out-of-bounds in sports. We censor people in relationships and business from certain acts, and can fire them upon violation. You censor in your place of business those who distract and/or damage your work. You fire destructive people from relationships, and would never invest your time or money for a sport that did not strictly censor behavior.
Our government is paradoxically based on censorship: “deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed” means any behavior outside constitutional limits is forbidden. This is the paradox of freedom: freedom is only realized within limits.
In these articles, I write for the highest level of factual accuracy and will manage comments with that commitment. Comments and questions are welcome ONLY from those who chose factual integrity.
Please consider that I’m among hundreds of writers who have documented our own government’s disclosure of propaganda programs to support their wars. My articles are subject to such propagandistic attack from comments that use typical rhetorical fallacies to distract readers from the facts. I invite readers to sharpen their ability to discern such propaganda. They are characterized by a combination of: denying facts without evidence, ignoring key facts in lies of omission, lying about verifiable facts as lies of commission, diverting attention through unsubstantiated belief in an alleged expert, irrelevant data, straw-man attack that distorts the facts, ad hominem attack of insults to the messenger, vile comments to repulse readers, “sock-puppets” of multiple personalities to appear of a bandwagon support, trying to pass non-factual statements as legitimate alternative perspectives, and comments that distract through focus on minutia.
I will use such comments to point-out the propaganda or delete them at my discretion. Again, all relevant and polite questions, and factually accurate comments are welcome. And again, all non-factual comments described above are also subject to immediate deletion.
As a professional educator I’m in agreement with my experience and research: we learn best from multiple perspectives in mutual commitment to understand the facts, see those facts from diverse points-of-view, and consider various policy proposals of what we should do. But professional factual discourse always rejects non-factual propaganda.
A predictable line of propaganda to fallaciously attack my documented facts is to call them “un-American.” This is Orwellian-absurd, as America is literally the support of the ideal of unalienable rights and the US Constitution, which my work proves are disgracefully destroyed by current political and economic US “leadership.” Indeed, the US was founded by our Fathers who took such a stand against their subjugation by the British and passionately wrote for future generations of Americans to defend their rights against such propaganda to surrender their freedom. I will point to readers to consider the advice of our Founding Fathers upon such predictable propaganda of calling a stand for rule under US law and against “emperor has no clothes” violations of US laws as “treason.”
"But now, after having once and for all put to the test the judgments of men, I here again approach these same questions regarding God and the human mind, and at the same time treat the beginnings of the whole of first philosophy, but in such a way that I have no expectation of approval from the vulgar and no wide audience of readers. Rather, I am an author to none who read these things but those who seriously meditate with me, who have the ability and the desire to withdraw their mind from the senses and at the same time from all prejudices. Such people I know all too well to be few and far between. As to those who do not take care to comprehend the order and series of my reasons but eagerly dispute over single conclusions by themselves, as is the custom for many-those, I say, will derive little benefit from a reading of this treatise; and although perhaps they might find an occasion for quibbling in many spots, still it is not an easy matter for them to raise an objection that is either compelling or worthy of response."
- Rene Descartes, Meditations on First Philosophy, 1641, "Preface to the Reader." This book is usual reading in college philosophy courses today. Descartes is considered the founder of modern philosophy, the founder of analytical geometry (which led to calculus), and a founder of the Scientific Revolution. Descartes was well-known in his age, but highly controversial. His work was condemned by the Roman Catholic Church in 1633, and his books put on the Index of Prohibited Books in 1663. The University of Utrecht condemned his work in 1643, where he had previously taught.
For those involved in support of US government-sponsored disinformation in whatever versions of Operation Mockingbird that are active, I invite you to consider the quality of human relationships you wish to create. National security and a brighter future is not a function of fear, manipulation, and control. Our best security follows cooperation, justice under the law, dignity, and freedom. Working for your best imagined self-expression of virtue may include a unique contribution from the inside of your agency. Public attraction to the stories of Star Wars and the Harry Potter books/movies recognize that our society’s jump to civilized relations for all of us might require support from people within the “dark side” acting as covert agents for building a brighter future. Another option is becoming a whistle-blower; Project Camelot is a popular venue for people in sensitive positions. Ultimately, I recommend a Truth and Reconciliation process to exchange full truth for no prosecution, explained in detail at the link. Please consider the wisdom of your own “Scrooge conversion” to act for the benefit of building a brighter future for all humanity rather than propagandizing for your controlling, manipulating, and loveless “masters’” psychopathic policies of violence and suffering.
“Scrooge was better than his word. He did it all, and infinitely more; and to Tiny Tim, who did not die, he was a second father. He became as good a friend, as good a master, and as good a man, as the good old city knew, or any other good old city, town, or borough, in the good old world. Some people laughed to see the alteration in him, but he let them laugh, and little heeded them; for he was wise enough to know that nothing ever happened on this globe, for good, at which some people did not have their fill of laughter in the outset; and knowing that such as these would be blind anyway, he thought it quite as well that they should wrinkle up their eyes in grins, as have the malady in less attractive forms. His own heart laughed: and that was quite enough for him.”
Los Angeles County: We’re home to 10 million people and are the media capital of the world. If we are to build a brighter future, the broadest picture must be communicated. Los Angelinos will play leading roles in communicating these issues’ importance to all humanity and in context to the economic and security concerns of local communities and families, as I explain above. These issues are ongoing “current events” of literally trillions of our collective dollars that directly effect billions of human beings, around the world who we touch in L.A.’s media market and where so many of us have family and friends, and locally with the per household tax burden for trillions of our collective dollars. Current US wars cost every L.A. County household ~$30,000 to $50,000 in long-term costs; over $100 billion total. To put this in perspective, California’s state budget deficit is $20 billion; the source of unemployment cutbacks and shortages of services. The economic theft to L.A. County is also conservatively in the hundreds of billions; don't believe me, confirm here. The most important impact on our local communities are often the broadest topics.
Comments
People would be more willing and less fearful of adopting the views of 911 Truth activists if they felt they were calling for forgiveness rather than retribution and punishment.
The peace movement should call for granting amnesty from prosecution and guarantee of an ample, lifetime pension to anyone who agrees to testify on their roles in the events of 9/11, extending this offer to any members of the US government, foreign governments and/or terrorist groups involved in the planning or execution of the attacks of that day.
Additionally, individuals should step forward and volunteer to spend time working with those who give testimony on crimes they have committed so that they might be reintegrated into society.
(to be continued)
Instead of executing Nazi war criminals we should've devoted all human resources available to us to rehabilitating them, awakening in them awareness of the nature of their actions so that they could've understood that they must make amends. If they had remained alive they would have been a living testament to the transformative powers of forgiveness.
Historians and psychologists especially should come out in favor of preserving invaluable study material: the opportunity to converse with the authors of unfortunate historical deeds.
We must find a solution to the existing state of affairs that would be acceptable to both the accusers and the accused. It should solve the problem it sets out to solve without creating additional problems. It should present itself as an ethical means to an ethical end.

Re: Comments above
Dig deep enough about the NAZI regime--it was controlled/funded by Ashkenazie so called jews. Just like america, same cult controls the terror machine. We could be correct to call it reserection of the NAZI II empire. dOn't kid yourself about Christians being the bad guys
Second,Anyone exposing Israel as the bad guys who pulled off the Sept 11 2001 will end up like JFK and Arafat and thousands like them--STIFFS!
Most Politicians know--Support Satan's Rejects or they are wasted--Jews or not
What is needed is -We put the same fear into every Politician that supports Israel.
Fact: Hitler sent over 600,000 polish Jews into Palestine.USA was an ally to Germany upto 1940.
Sure seems Germany was used like Iraq by Uncle Heb Sam
Wow. I don't know how I can follow the last three comments with anything useful. Is it a full moon?
The republicans didn't seem to mind the war when George Jr. was in charge. Those democrats...er, republicans, I get them confused because they smell the same, will say or do anything to get the flock to vote them back into power. Both parties are corrupt and in no way have any desire to abide by the Constitution.
If you want to see the effectiveness ( or NOT0 of Truth and Reconcilliation, do a google of the=is very issue with respect to Korea.
And the first poster wants to give these perps AMNESTY and a juicy Pension....in other words Crime does PAY !!
Uncovering the truth about 9/11 is the lynchpin to all of this. 9/11 is the pretext event in which all of the illegal wars and destruction of our constitutional rights are justified. A new, independent, citizen led investigation of the event of 9/11 must occur or the insanity will continue.
USA STONEWALLED
A few quick observations:
Most of the utter nonsense that is War on Terror (war on a noun) can be laid at the feet of a cover-up at 9/11 admitted to by Kean & Hamilton as chairs of the 9/11 Commission Report at the NY Times (1/2/08). Search under these headings:
STONEWALLED by the C.I.A.
PATRIOTS QUESTION 9/11
And the non-partisan CENTER for PUBLIC INTEGRITY has documented near 1,000 LIES broadcast out of the Washington & corporate media complex since January 2008 to promote so-called War on Terror.
FALSE PRETENSES
Orchestrated Deception on the Path to War
So we have a global war on a noun based on a 9/11 cover-up sitting over 935 deliberate LIES (no doubt over 1,000 since 2008). Then came a $28 TRILLION Wall Street bailouts looting spree in the U.S. alone (Bloomberg News figure).
That is global government by criminal deception.
Full stop.
I like the general gist of this article but I have to take issue with something you wrote Carl,
"Congressperson Dana Rohrabacher"
How many true 'persons' have you met that inhabit the Congress? I mean Really!
How many of these hypocrites voted for monies for the effort against Iraq ?
the empire is on it's last legs. it's only a matter of time before it bled dry to collapse under it's own dead weight just like the one before it 20 years ago.
The endearing thing about Herman is that he has such a large capacity for humor. This is because he has a thick skin and can take criticism with the best of them......:-) .
What cracks me up is that the republicans started these wars. Good article by the way.
And now the dems are continuing and expanding the very things they said they would end if elected. The two parties are one.
RSBL says,
"The two parties are one."
It could almost be a Zen thing....if it wasn't so frigging scary and imminent !!
All this horseshit started by republicans. And Mr idiot of some village of Texas used it to conquer congress and put them in his pocket. Know they want to disguise themselves. That rude and antiamerican. Go to hell.
I find it unusual, Mr. Herman, that you would create this article with a lead-in about how you are presenting videos that demonstrate Republicans in Congress now consider the War on Terror illegal and immoral (and even make this sentiment the title), but then submit about 25 minutes of one interview where the subject makes that assertion as a less-than-one-minute aside (6:35-7:25 in Video 1). It's unfortunate that you (and it seems to be a trend of yours) cherry-pick monotonous claims and drown them in links, videos, and other media when you are potentially missing out on reporting and commenting on potentially larger, more complex and dynamic stories.
What: Its unfortunate that you are too irresponsible, weak, lazy, stupid and/or a disinformation agent (gotta love that career choice) to read and review the comprehensive links that explain, document and provide expert testimony to understand war laws and the central facts in current US wars.
War laws are easy to understand. Prove youre not a propagandist, What. Explain how these wars are lawful.
Go ahead. Were waiting for you to either deny, ignore, obfuscate, and weasel your way away from refuting the article title rather than driveling spew worthy of only pointing out as trash before discarding it entirely.

It, too, is unfortunate that you are too irresponsible, weak, lazy, stupid, and/or a disinformation agent to read and review my comments-- or, more accurately, to glean my meaning from the fairly straightforward assertions I put forward.
My comment was entirely silent on the validity of your claim that the War on Terror is unlawful. Rather it noted the peculiarity of your article primarily presenting an interview, and then extracting a passing comment that made up 4% of it (less than one minute of airtime, in this case), and use the opportunity to forward a claim you have made at length in various other articles.
At best: it comes across as a poorly (perhaps lazily?) constructed article muddled by an excess of context that never goes addressed in your reporting. At worst: it comes across as almost intellectually dishonest, as if to obfuscate by providing your audience with such an excess of un-referred to information (in this case, 96% of the primary source presen

Propaganda is information that is spread for the purpose of promoting a cause.
Your lack of journalistic scrutiny of the vast majority of the material presented in this article- and, alternatively, simply utilizing it as a springboard for reiterating the same information you have spread ad nauseam in previous articles by picking the minority of the segment relevant to one particular cause- is, as I said, unfortunate.
Perhaps it is you, Mr. Herman, who ought to consider whether your words and actions represent that of a propagandist.
2 of 2:
And we all notice, you dodge the central bombshell in the article title: these wars are unlawful.
Youre a coward to avoid the central point of the article just as propagandists always do and I predicted you would do, oh liar of omission and commission.
One day, and sooner than you know, your IP address will be known to law enforcement on the side of arresting and prosecuting professional war propagandists like you. One day, and soon, you will answer for your treason; and you are a traitor for acting for enemies of the US to continue wars on our soldiers and destroy the rule of US law.
Tick-tock, what. Just as Scrooge, you have only so much time left to choose and act for your heart and minds highest calling.
What:
1 of 2:
Youre done, war-enabler. You waste our time. I'll delete your further non-answers, coward.
You choose to attack my alerting the public to the ground-shaking admission that almost all House Republicans know that US war in Iraq is an unlawful War of Aggression. Honest Americans for government under the law rather than in flagrant violation would appreciate this admission and be on the side of investigating the claim along with communicating that the links I write of explaining war laws have been the crystal-clear letter and spirit of the law for 65 years.
My continuing to communicate US wars are unlawful makes you nauseous and is propaganda for you? Continuous presentation of war laws and facts is what you want silenced, you fascist war-pimp. You name-call my reminders of ongoing US mass-murdering as irresponsible, weak, lazy, stupid, and disinformation.
In all fairness Mr Herman, "What" made a good point regarding repetition and ultimate intent with respect to cherry picking info for your specific points.
Also wrt Scrooge which you reference....a lot.... I'm not sure Christmas Fables are the material upon which to build a political philosophy. But that's just me.
Herb:
With all respect, are you bored about my pointing out unlawful wars? Gee, if it wasnt for my empathy for the families (American and foreign) whose lives are shattered by US psychopathic murderous wars, Id have respect for your opinion. Are you sure you want to be so heartless in face of the daily misery caused by preventable scourge of war?
Next: you make a claim that I cherry-pick to emphasize the extraordinary point of a US Congressman stating to a judge that almost all House Republicans agree US war in Iraq is unlawful. Uh, yeah, and? That extraordinary admission isnt enough to warrant your attention and appreciation?
I could go for Snape in Harry Potter or Darth Vader of Star Wars rather than Scrooge. This part is for the Operation Mockingbird assets; its a personal and artistic communication. I since discovered Im probably mistaken with What, but I feel its important to communicate that human beings choose their best path, and do so right now.
Changing the metaphor or Meme at times can retain interest and make a single point more "accessable" to a diversity (not in the liberal-PC sense) of readers.
No it was (is) the short duration of the mention in your source. A source which had a WEALTH of other good info too. The majority of which is not spot on for your specific topic. Although it is tangentially applicable and supportive of your General concerns.
I agree US psychopathic ( or Economy driven ) murderous wars are tragic and preventable.
I would hope you would also agree that Socialist and/or Fascist-Religious wars (against indigenous populations ) are also tragic and preventable.
Herb Caen:
Im doing the best I can; and limited by this being a hobby. I focus on unlawful war, lies for war with Iran, and economic attacks upon us with the obvious solutions as areas that should be easy to verify and thereby rip-open the veil of propaganda for a critical mass of Americans.
I dont need retained interest; we all need these topics to have broader recognition. The interview has a lot of great info, true, and if the headline opens attention for people to tune-in, great. I would need to write a book to do all the topics hit-upon in the interview justice.
Wars outside self-defense (as we understand it for you and me on the street) are organized crime at the highest levels, I agree.
Retension of readership and expansion of the same is important to get the message imbedded. Especially due to the limited time and attention span prevelent.
Can 'saving mankind' ever be just a hobby lol.
It ain't easy, but that's where Rocky Road icecream comes in.:-).
