Bazaar Bizarre: Not your granny's craft fair

If Martha Stewart and Marilyn Manson had an event-baby, it would be the Bazzar Bizarre. Every December subversive crafters unite to bring San Francisco the Bazzar Bizarre, a fresh take on the holiday craft fair. For shoppers who want less apple cinnamon sachets and more charm bracelets of meat, this one is for you.

This DIY extravaganza will take place in beautiful Golden Gate Park at the SF County Fair Building. Shoppers can expect to find high quality gifts including pottery, jewelry, clothing, handbags, stationary, soap, knit goods, zines and posters. All of the 100 venders are carefully chosen from among the most talented and most ironic crafters in the world.

The event hours are as follows:  Saturday, December 12th 2009 from 12:00PM to 6:00PM and Sunday, December 13th 2009 12:00PM to 6:00PM.  Admission price is $2.00 per adult and children 12 and under are free.  50% of the admission fees go to charity. If you are interested in volunteering at this event, send an email to the Bazaar Bizarre team. To meet the founders of Bazaar Bizarre San Francisco, stop by Urban Fauna Studio.
