"Sewing Pottery by Machine" by Barbara Warholic is a Martingale & Company book.
It will teach you the simple technique of wrapping fabric strips around cording to make coiled pots. Barbara makes gorgeous pots. They are very colorful with a lot of depth, texture and photographed in beautiful detail. It is fun to look at.
It isn't knitting, but if you spin your own yarn, You might try this coiled fabric technique with roving. Especially if you dye your own. Experiment. There aren't any instructions yet. But what a creative expression if it were to work. The results could be beautiful.
