If you could find a workout that burns 20 calories a minute, would you try it? If you are someone who enjoys working out or if you are looking for a new workout routine to help you be successful in reaching your fitness goals, you should give a kettlebell workout a try. In the years that I have been a kettlebell trainer, I have seen the amazing results my clients have gotten from their kettlebell workouts. But, now a January 2010, University of Wisconsin study validates what many of us kettlebell trainers have been claiming for years- kettlebell workouts burn 20 calories a minute!
The American Council on Exercise (ACE), which funded the study, and University of Wisconsin researchers were astounded with the results and likened kettlebell training to running a 6-minute mile or cross country skiing up hill. Not only did they find subjects were burning 20 calories a minute, they also measured heart rate and found that subjects heart rates had a mean of 164 bpm. That translates into some serious fat burning.
Though you won't find kettlebell training the magic bullet (because you have to work hard when using kettlebells), if you want to make some serious changes to your physique, strength and confidence level, you ought to give a kettlebell workout a try. Make sure you learn the basic exercises from a qualified RKC (certified Russian Kettlebell Instructor) and not from You Tube. Many qualified RKC's are available in your area to teach you the right way to use kettlebells so you get maximum results from the workout.
