American Idol alumni Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson, and (Chris) Daughtry will be featured on the December 11 edition of Entertainment Weekly's 'Bullseye of the Decade.' The photo includes the caption "27 million albums sold, 7 Grammys, and 1 Oscar. Our life would suck without them."

This is only one of Kelly Clarkson's recent accomplishments. She has landed a Grammy nomination this year for Best Pop Vocal Album for All I Ever Wanted.
The Idol franchise will be well-represented at this year's Grammy Awards. Carrie Underwood picked up two nominations this year. Ruben Studdard and Mandisa each picked up a nomination. The complete list of this year's nominees is available at the Grammy Awards site.

Carrie Underwood is the ULTIMATE VOCALIST of this era!
(Jhud) without question. All the artist brings something very different to the industry. It is truely a blessing to have each and everyone of them. The American Idol Show has really stood up, and gave us some wonderfully great talent. However, Jennifer Hudson has the most incredible talent in an artist from that show hands down, and she was not even in the running to win.

The Original. I love the others as well, and there have been some great vocalists from the show but Kelly wins hands down in that department. She can sing anything, most versatile. One minute she can be rocking out showing anger like in 'Never Again' then the next minute bring you to tears in 'Because of You'. That girl was meant to win Idol, she's the reason why the show didn't get canceled. :)

It's interesting that if you take off Kelly's 10 million sales contribution from the 27 mnillion total you're left with only 17 million record sales, which is less than Kelly has sold worldwide.
Without Kelly, none of the others would be where they are today. Kelly made American Idol what it is today :)

american idol is great and has prdouced some great talents. but kelly is hands-down the best and will always be the best~ she has sold 20+ million WORLDWIDE...so that is enough said! she is obviously the most versatile singer out there today and alot of ppl can honestly say she DOES have some of the best vocals in the entire music industry! other idols are good but not KELLY GOOD! lol rock on kelly! :)everyones lives would suck without her
Hands down, Kelly Clarkson...I just saw her in concert and that girl can sing anything and sound super freakin' awesome doing it! All of this talent while appearing to be super down to earth...she's definitely got IT.

Clarkson made the show what it is. She has succeeded in a very competitive genre when AI was not looked upon as favorably as it is now. She is the one that had to prove herself and the show's success. She gives AI fans and foes proof that AI can discover singers that are as competitive as the best singers around. She has also lasted for over 7-years. She is among the very few that is successful for her voice and personality and not her looks and what part of her body she displays. My vote is for the one that climbed the steepest mountain...Kelly.
No disrespect to Carrie Underwood I like her I really do...but shouldnt Kelly have been on the forefront of that picture....to be honest whether you like AI or not the truth is that the success of that show was riding on how well kelly would do after coming out of there. ANd she was and still is very successful. The worldwide successful of that show owes a lot to Kelly being the original and most successful worldwide. SHouldnt she have been the lead in that pictue.
As for the EW Photo, I don't like it. Kelly should be front and center, not just because she's the most successful and a global superstar but because she is the most significant Idol anywhere.

Carrie, by far is the #1 Idol to date. She has done more as far as awards, selling of cd's. I just read an article where she has passed Kelly in every area.

Oh c'mon! American Idol would be nothing of what it is today if Kelly didn't start it.. and she's got more international appeal and sucess than the others. So i think it's kind of OBVIOUS for her to be on the cover.

Kelly Clarkson needs to be in the front on that magazine!!!
Kelly Clarkson owns American Idol. That show would not be around if it wasnt for her. She has the most amazing vocals of the decade. Those other ones are limited. Kelly can sing anything and everything!!!!! This decade would have sucked without her!!!
The best one by a mile is Kelly Clarkson.
My favorite by far is Jennifer Hudson because she has been thru so much and can still smile and have joy. She didn't win idol but is still one of the most recognized idol alums.
