The Kansas Jayhawks mens' basketball squad edged Colorado in overtime 72-66 on Wednesday night in Boulder, Colo., with big performances from Marcus Morris, Sherron Collins and Cole Aldrich.
Morris scored six of his 15 points in overtime and grabbed a crucial rebound. Aldrich scored 16 points and had 14 rebounds (another double-double), while Collins dropped 16 on the Buffaloes to help Kansas advance to 21-1 overall and 7-0 in Big 12 play.
Markieff Morris scored 7 points, Tyshawn Taylor and Brady Morningstar had six points a piece, while Xavier Henry and Tyrel Reed each had three points.
No. 1 ranked Kansas got the win, but it's a concern that the Jayhawks seems to struggle with Colorado almost every season in Boulder. Some say its the thin air, but that is getting old. A No. 1 ranked team in the nation shouldn't be struggling with a squad that isn't even ranked in the top 25, regardless of location. It's good to see the Jayhawks come out on top, but the game should have been put away before overtime.
