When we think about the upcoming holiday travel season, we think of busy airports, delayed flights, announcements regarding gate changes, among others.
But for deaf travelers, these important announcements may be missed, making an already-trying travel situation even more difficult.
As a response, according to 13WHAM.com, students from Rochester School for the Deaf have brainstormed a solution: message boards in airports and on airplanes. Not only would these message boards keep deaf travelers aprised of any changes or important information, but would create equal opportunities for all.
Students met with representatives with JetBlue yesterday to present their idea, which was very well received.
