February 9, 2010 - Ringo was presented with his star yesterday evening at the Walk of Fame in Hollywood, coinciding with the ceremony’s 50th anniversary. The third Beatle to receive a star, he was treated to great accolades by Joe Walsh, Ben Harper and Don Was during the ceremony. (Read full story here by Trina Yannicos with slideshow).
Ringo, nearly speechless from the praise, told the audience he wanted to frame all the comments and get a CD of it.
He then talked about his former bandmates in the Beatles—John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and George Harrison, and said, “ The Beatles in my book, was the best band in the world. I have three brothers. They looked out for me. I looked out for them. And we all supported each other. It was really beautiful to be a part of that and besides that, we made some great records!”
After calling them his “closest friends”, he referred to John and George’s stars which were next to his, saying “I love them both. Peace and love.” He concluded with "let's not forget the guy in England—Paul. Peace and love!”
Ringo called into Chris Carter's Breakfast with the Beatles show in LA on KLOS on Sunday, Chris reports, after hearing "25 Ringo songs in a row." Chris sent us this link for you to listen, in case you missed it:

John Lennon’s star was removed from its prior location by the Beatles’ star over the Christmas holidays amid a storm of controversy on the internet. Covered by a tarp, the empty spot where John’s star had been generated rumors that it had been stolen. The Beatles Examiner, Steve Marinucci, was the first to break the news that it had been simply moved close to the spot where Ringo’s star would soon be placed. (read story here)
Now there are three solo Beatles stars next to each other. Paul’s star has been approved but the ceremony has not been scheduled. The Beatles star will remain in its original location at the corner of Hollywood Blvd and LaBrea next to Elvis Presley.
Congratulations to Ringo!
