Taking a popular idea from Wall Street and NY, organizers in Chicago have formed a similar Networking group called Chicago Pink Slip

Networking events and parties have become the latest rage as unemployment rises and job seekers are looking for opportunities to get out and network. Mike Compton, one of the organizers of Chicago Pink Slip, says things are shaping up great for their first networking event/party taking place Thursday, June 4, at the downtown venue Martini Park. Chicago Pink Slip facilitates a unique networking opportunity that creates valuable career contacts. Mike says their events will provide face to face interaction for a diverse group of job seekers, employers, executive recruiters, and those exploring career opportunities. The last two weeks we have been working with potential sponsors. We have a several signed up already and we are in negations with several more. We are all very excited as its going to be a great event.

Event Details:

What: Chicago Pink Slip Networking Event/Party

When: Thursday, June 4th, 5:30 - 8:00pm

Where: Martini Park (downtown Chicago)

What to expect: Industries represented will include Finance, Accounting, Law/Law Services, Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Packaged Goods, IT/Tech. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with HR Managers, Hiring Managers, Executive Recruiters, Entrepreneurs, and Business Professionals.

Cost: $25 for pre-registration, $35 at the door. Includes sponsored bar & complimentary hors d'oeuvres. There will also be a raffle and give aways throughout the evening.
