ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- If you are a fan of watching movies and have even wanted to appear in a film, keep your eyes and ears open for an upcoming film being shot here in Albuquerque.

Based on the 2004 Swedish hit, "Let the Right One In," Albuquerque Studios will begin filming "Let Me In" at the studio and on location in Albuquerque, Los Alamos and Red River beginning in November and lasting through January 2010.

With the recent vampire craze with such films as "Twilight" and television shows such as "Vampire Diaries" and "True Blood," this movie will likely be a hit as well.

The film industry in New Mexico has been a big business in the past several years due to the substantial tax incentives provided to film companies. Offering a 25% tax rebate on all direct production expenditures, including New Mexico labor, that are subject to taxation by the State of New Mexico, paints a pretty picture for filming in the Land of Enchantment.

This project alone could bring as many as 600+ positions to New Mexicans with approximately 100 crew members being hired as well as 500 extras. Even if you don't make it on for this particular film, keep trying as announcements come for another film as well as other TV series to be filmed here.

Visit the Albuquerque Studios website for more information about filming in New Mexico.  And, if you are really serious about getting a position working in an upcoming film, check out what crewnewmexico.com where you can find out about casting calls, what is filming in New Mexico, and general industry information.
