Northern Tropics Parrot Head Club Golf Benefit
Join the Parrot Head Club of the Northern Tropics for a weekend of golfing and trop rock music in the beautiful mountains of Western Maine at the Bethel Inn Resort, in Bethel, ME. The Benefit Golf Classic, planned at the perfect time for peak foliage viewing, includes a variety of planned events including live entertainment, golfing contests, raffles, an awards dinner and more.
The festivities begin Friday night October 16th at the Bethel Inn Resort with live entertainment in the Millbrook Tavern. Saturday offers an agenda filled with something for everyone. Join your friends at the pool party, challenge them to the mini golf challenge or do nothing but relax. Plus, you get to feel good about it because Parrot Heads “Party with a Purpose”, so all of this fun is in the name of charity.
The Parrot Head Club of the Northern Tropics has chosen the National Multiple Sclerosis Society - Maine Chapter – as their charity of choice for this event. Club President Heather O’Donnell has a special interest in helping this local charity because MS has affected her own family. Heather’s sister, Deborah Haley, has been battling the disease for the past 20 years. In fact, the weekend long event to benefit MS is held in Honor of Deborah Haley - for the strength she demonstrates and the inspiration she is.
Founded in 1954, the Maine Chapter helps people affected by MS by funding cutting-edge research, driving change through advocacy, facilitating professional education, and providing programs and services that help people with MS and their families move their lives forward. Nearly one in every 400 Maine residents has MS, a per capita rate approximately 70% higher than the nation as a whole.

The golf tournament is scheduled for Saturday morning and offers a variety of Team Packages and Sponsor Options to best suit your team. Parrot Head Club Teams are encouraged to participate in the “Tin Cup Chalice Challenge” for a guaranteed good times with “phriends”.
Later, join in to help select the Golf Cart Decorating winners during Happy Hour, followed by Dinner & Awards presentation. The festivities continue with a ‘Party with a Purpose’ with live entertainment from Rog & Ray and the Corona Brothers!
