Come out and "Party with a Purpose" at the PhunFest

The Emerald Coast, Pensacola and Pirates of the Panhandle Parrot Head Clubs have joined forces and are “Chillin’ with a License to Build.” Join these Florida Parrot Head Clubs as they “Party with a Purpose” at their 3rd Annual Panhandle PhunFest to benefit the Fisher House, an organization that supports military service personnel and their families.

The Panhandle PhunFest is a family-friendly Parrot Head virtual beach party,  jam packed with activities and entertainment for folks of all ages. The 3 day event begins Thursday night, September 24th and features great tropical bands, games and prizes, arts and crafts vendors, a dunking booth, children’s activities and much more. Come out and hear some great beach music and help support The Fisher House Program, a great local charity, in the process.

The Fisher House Foundation is a great program that supports America's military in their time of need. The program recognizes the special sacrifices of our men and women in uniform and the hardships of military service by meeting a humanitarian need beyond that normally provided by the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs.

Because members of the military and their families are stationed worldwide and must often travel great distances for specialized medical care, Fisher House Foundation donates "comfort homes," built on the grounds of major military and VA medical centers. These homes enable family members to be close to a loved one at the most stressful time - during the hospitalization for an unexpected illness, disease, or injury. 

PhunFest Benefits the Fisher House

There is at least one Fisher House at every major military medical center to assist families in need and to ensure that they are provided with the comforts of home in a supportive environment.

The Fisher House of the Emerald Coast will be built on Eglin Air Force Base in Northwest Florida and will provide a "home away from home" so that military families can be together during treatment for serious illness or physical/occupational therapy. The House will be within steps of the Eglin Air Force Base Hospital and Veteran's Clinic.
