Jersey Shore producers and MTV are facing yet another racketeering lawsuit stemming from a fight involving one of the Jersey Shore reality stars. The most recent lawsuit was filed Wednesday by an attorney for a 21 year old Forked River, New Jersey man. Kenneth Hoffman claims Jersey Shore star Paul "DJ Pauly D" Delvecchio attacked him in a bar while MTV was filming the first season of Jersey Shore in Seaside Heights.
In a statement, Hoffman's attorney says Jersey Shore producers and MTV are violating the state's racketeering law. It's the same argument that's being used in a separate lawsuit, naming Ronnie Magro among the defendants, which a New Jersey Superior Court judge just ruled could move forward in court.

According to NJ.com, Hoffman's lawsuit is based on an incident he claims happened at the Bamboo Bar in Seaside Heights. Hoffman's attorney John Novak claims Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino was making kissing faces at his client's friend when bar workers grabbed each of the men. According to court papers, Pauly D then punched Hoffman causing spinal injuries that required spinal fusion surgery and forced him out of work for eight weeks. Novak said the basis of the lawsuit is over the fact that his client, "...Was savagely victimized and sustained permanent injuries as a direct result of the defendants’ continuing course of profit-motivated criminal conduct.”
According to the Ocean County prosecutor's office Pauly D is not facing criminal charges for the alleged incident. Hoffman reportedly never went to the police and was unaware the assault was part of the Jersey Shore show until he watched the episode. A rep for Sorrentino, who is not named in the lawsuit, simply responded, "No comment," when asked by Examiner.com for a reaction to the lawsuit.
Hoffman is the fourth New Jersey resident to file a lawsuit against MTV and Jersey Shore stemming from an alleged fight.
