National Public Radio often finds itself home to liberal perspectives, both on its editorial programs, and within the ranks of its “hard news” programs. Opinion pieces inherently carry a worldview, and just as Sean Hannity is a commentator on Fox, such opposite commentators can be expected on NPR. However, a recent video displayed on the website for NPR raises serious concerns about how our tax dollars are funding an agenda at NPR, rather than a public news service. The video not only shows a clear unabashed liberal world view but holds so little constructive or intelligent dialogue it can only accurately be described as an outright partisan “hit-piece.”
The video is a cartoon parodying “how to” videos. Its theme is “Learn to speak teabag.” It is displayed directly on NPR’s website, and illustrates their obvious animosity towards persons of conservative inclinations. (The video is posted below for your "enjoyment.")
The left obviously still does not get it. The American citizens who oppose the government takeover of healthcare (whether through a single payer or by proxy through massive regulation and control) don’t harbor some irrational opposition to change or “progress.” Rather people who disagree with the proposed Obamacare harbor a legitimate concern about the effects government intrusion will have on the best health care in the world. While there are obvious areas for improvement in the healthcare system, tea party goers are not a bunch of robotic angry rioters with vocabulary strangely limited to “Nazi,” “Socialist,” and “Obama.” The opposition that has been growing against Obamacare is centered on the principal of freedom vs. government.
The video then continues to accuse tea party goers of throwing around terms like “Nazis” and “Socialist.” Never does this astoundingly misguided video address the remarks by Pelosi or Reid that likened the tea party movement to Segregationists. Or the comments by Alan Grayson that accused the opposition of wanting sick people to “die quickly.” As for the tea party movement calling Obama’s agenda “socialist”. . . . Okay. Yes that did happen, and it continues to happen. But how else can the political concept of taking privileges or property from one person, and “redistributing” it to another, be labeled? The main concept behind the proposed Healthcare reform is the introduction of government into every facet of the industry. Such massive control by the government will then be used to “spread the wealth around” in an effort to ensure every American gets equally [terrible] treatment.
Additionally, the tea party movement is about more than just healthcare. It is about putting an end to massive spending, and allowing liberty to thrive. The Obama administration has made their intentions clear: they want to fundamentally transform this nation. When, in combination with this stated goal, the administration is pushing a form of socialized medicine, taking over the auto industry, controlling the financial sector to a degree never before seen in American history, and appointing openly radical communists and socialists as his advisors, “socialist” doesn’t seem like such an inflammatory label to attach to the current agenda of Washington. The then Senator Barack Obama was even rated further left than the openly Democratic-socialist senator, Bernie Sanders.
As both a blessing and a curse, the left does not understand the animosity that many Americans harbor against the direction of our government. Perhaps their blind anger and disparaging remarks toward a substantial percentage of the population will help with their ultimate fall from power. The lesson that is meant to be learned from this video is simple: If you disagree with the President’s agenda, you are an angry, simple minded, paranoid, delusional, ignorant backwater radical. Or so says National Public Radio. (With our tax dollars, I might add.)

NPR has always been in the tank for the liberal agenda. I'm not going to grace this video by watching it. Never listened to NPR before. No sense starting now to listen to anything NPR has to say.
The leader of the movement and owner of teaparty dot org (no URLs are allowed in comments, but that is meant to be a website), was photographed holding a sign saying that the taxpayers = the "N" word, completely spelled out. it is unlikely anyone will take this movement seriously when its standard bearers are bigoted racists.
See the new GOP, just like the old GOP. Fall to your knees and pray, we don't get fooled again.
I'm glad to see that a fellow Kansan wrote this article. It says "Topeka" right? Any way, hope to see you all in Topeka on the 15th for the 10th Amendment rally. Yeah, right, "tea baggers" are only about health care. What a bunch of dopes!!
It's unbelievable how the tea party has been attacked by the liberals. What they don't understand is that most Americans, no matter what party they belong to, do not want more government involvement in their lives. Videos like this certainly anger members of the tea parties, but what they don't understand is that it also builds a deep anger in those who haven't stood up with against the expanding government. Keep putting the vidoes up, it only adds more people to the tea party movement - just don't use our tax dollars to do it.
Is this all you communists can come up with? HAHAHA, whoever came up with this stupid video is a pathetic drone...
"[NPR] illustrates their obvious animosity towards persons of conservative inclinations"
Umm no, this proves their obvious animosity towards persons of the TEA PARTY.
Most conservatives don't even like Tea Baggers to begin with, so quit saying its just the liberals.
Whoever wrote this article is trying to hard to make it a "liberals vs. conservatives" thing when all NPR did was bash a political cult disowned by most Republicans themselves.
New name for Tea Party movement....moronism. If they don't like it here, leave.
Loved the video. So true.
and you don't think obamacare is a loaded phrase? pot kettle black.
tea party racist slurs and signs came BEFORE and PROMPTED the segregationist comment.
Endless idiotic death panel comments PRECEDED Grayson's comment.
Stop haranguing the left when they occasionally choose to stoop to levels already in play on the right.
You might be a "an angry, simple minded, paranoid, delusional, ignorant backwater radical" if you say Obama is in the pocket of big business on even days and that Obama is unfairly bashing big business on other days (as Fox News does).
You might be a "an angry, simple minded, paranoid, delusional, ignorant backwater radical" if you think obama is a muslim and you hate his Christian pastor of 20 years.
You might be a "an angry, simple minded, paranoid, delusional, ignorant backwater radical" if you ignored deficits under Bush (incurring 80% of current debt) and can't stop talking about deficits under Obama (incurred 20% of current debt, cut more programs in first year than Bush did in any year, first budget had deficit 8% lower than Bush's last budget).
Got something to say?
