The combination of wine and jazz creates a proven catharsis for both jazz enthusiast and wine connoisseur alike. The selection of contemporary jazz guitarist Ken Navarro for the 2010 Keel and Curley Jazz Music series is perfect timing for this artist.
Mr. Navarro will be performing at the winery Saturday, March 13th, 2010 and will be debuting his 19th recording “Dreaming of Trains” (due for national release March 16, 2010 - can also be purchased here).
"Dreaming of Trains" is a suite of innovative compositions that create an ethereal "fusion" listening experience. Navarro pays special attention to detail with this project by telling a story with a "Metheny-esque" style which is supported by fellow musicians Jay Rowe (Keyboards), Joel Rosenblatt (drums), Tom Kennedy (acoustic and electric bass) and Ann Sacks (vocals). He also provides a wonderful acoustic treatment to Erik Satie’s “Gymnopédie”.
The ambience of this sort of intimate live experience one should not miss.
Doors open Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 4:00PM, with an opening act performance (TBA) beginning at 6:00pm. Ken Navarro takes the stage at 7:30pm.
Tickets range from $35 to $59 VIP (additional fees apply) – see website for information and purchase.
